I also noticed, down in the room he's held, if I tried to move him with the cross-com he would just stand still and not leave the room.

I actually had to PUSH him out of the room and move him like 5 feet at a time to get him up to ground level

The mission worked fine for me. I gave him waypoints from time to time when I felt the area is secure. No problem there. In the end I ordered him to use the blackhawk, so he entered it w/o any discussion. (choose Rosen - click middle mouse button - aim on the blackhawk and wait for the "use"-order to appear then confirm clicking middle mouse button) ;)

I think its 8, the one where you ahve to rescue Rosen from teh Hacienda. Rosen wont get in the chopper. ###### how do you finish it if he wont get in?

You should rename this thread from "Mission 8 Bug" to "I need info on how to do mission 8?" looks like alot of players that don't understand how to? call it a bug.... :nono: next time ehhh?

p.s. wait till you get to mission 10 and you meet the cheating AI

When you post bugs in the forums it's important that you say if you - first of all- got the retail version (not some downloaded buggy version...) - and secondly - if you've installed the release patch.

(also, dropping in computer specs at the bottom of the post will add to the fun)

Be honest people - that helps us fix specific system bugs.

Some of the bugs I hear here has been on our table but was in the leaked version - so it's good to know if they still exist in release and in what cases.

Cheers!

I'm on vacation now and am gonna spend it beating or get beaten by you people online.

: )

Over and out!

As per the post above, this could be a bug that was fixed before final retail - is it the final retail version you are playing?

So... if I take the above posts correctly the final retail and the leaked build are not the same? Someone said this same thing with GRAW but in fact the builds were the same, had the same version number anyway... or so I'm told.

In my mind if I'm a developer with as tight of controls on info as UBI and GRiN seemed to me to have had on GR: AW2 I wouldn't "release" the RC to just anyone... it goes to a list of people each of whom has a unique key so if I find the build posted on the web or binaries somewhere I can trace it back via the key. When I settle on a gold build I then RTM, seems much easier for a leak to happen from the RTM stage. Anyway... just thinking out loud here... sorry for the spam.

Or is it that the build in question doesn't have the release day patch?

Does anyone have this issue?

When I get to the end of Mission 7: Get me Rosen, I have Rosen make it all the way to the extraction point, standing right next to the chopper, but he will not get in. I can get in and so can my partner but he just stands outside covering the area.

I cannot tell him to specifically to get in the chopper, only near it, as when I click on the chopper to move him to it, it just beeps at me.

I have done this mission over 10 times with no success because Rosen will not get in the chopper.

Yea i know what you mean, all i did was highlight rosen and i think there is a use command for him to get in the chopper, but to be honest i just entered the chopper from the left side and he followed me in!? but im sure there is a use command for him

You can't make Rosen use the helicopter. You can't order him to enter it. The only way to do that, is to order him to follow you and enter yourself. If you enter the chopper without having told him follow you, he will never enter the chopper, thus leaving the mission unfinishable. A small bug to be fixed.

Ok! I see the Follow command with I press the wheel mouse button, then I can scroll up to Follow but I gotta figure out how to activate it.

Thanks for the advice.

Alright, I just finished it. I had to set mt controls back to default to work it right.

I had the mouse wheel button set for reload and when I pushed it the gun would reload and that menu would appear but when I pressed the button again nothing would happen.

so now I know and left that button set to use that command and mouse3 is reload.

Now that I did that mission so many times I might as well do a right up on it!! Haha.

I really like these night time maps and getting to use the night vision. Funny how I was able to use the NVG for the whole map and they stayed on. This one took me a while while I had fun shooting out all the lights on Normal difficulty. Weird how it takes two sniper rounds to blow the lights out on the polls, though. Ran through ammo pretty quick with two lights per poll.

As the map starts, you are back in the hills and have to make your way to the house to plant the C4 and rescue Rosen. You have two directions to go. Looking at the Overview map, it is pretty easy to find the enemy patrols because their flash lights show up!! First thing I did is checked the map and I saw all the flash lights moving around. Be aware, though, there are hidden enemy!

Once you make your way around the area, you will see the house. In Normal mode, there are a bunch of enemy around the house so be careful. Once you make your way in, find the garage with the chopper in it and plant the C4.

After that you will need to find where Rosen is stashed at. Take a look around the place and once you find him you can then escort him out of there to the extraction point.

SPOILER ALERT!!!! DO NOT READ BELOW AS SOME THINGS ARE DISCUSSED YOU MAY NOT WANT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU PLAY THE MAP!!!!

If you run south west at the start of the map, you will run into a patrol around the corner to the right. Once you kill him, run towards the Abandon house ahead of you. If you walk thru it to the other side there, turn around (towards the enemy you just killed) and walk backwards. On the 2nd story of this house there is a enemy laying down (if you walked into the house) or he might be standing (if you ran into the house).

From this abandon house, if you look to the left of the main gate, there is a road and another small gate. There is a guard hiding in there. You might also find another guard way back behind him.

There is a guard just inside the main gate. You need to kill him before he sees you because there is an alarm button in the guard shack he may try to hit.

If you look at the overview map, you should be able to find two guards on top of two different buildings. There may also be one inside one of the buildings with a guard on top.

When you go to the back of the house, there are two underground entrances. Either one will get you to the right place, but be quick as one of the guards down there will try to hit the alarm.

Once you find Rosen, you need to tell him to FOLLOW you. If you command him to MOVE to the extraction point he will not get in the chopper. I tried to do this about 10 times before some helpful members here told me how to get in there.

I had some problems with Rosen not responding but I reloaded the last save game and he woke up!

Observation: Don't know about anybody else but I found the Hussienda to be very poorly defended. It was easy to get in and wander about. As a mission it was not up to the standard of the others so far.
