As per topic title: Your Impressions of BF:BC2 BFBC2 is not COD/ CODMW1/2 GRAW/GRAW2 or RSE GR, as soon as you understand that your going to come with an open mind. BFBC2 is an average game when it comes to single player with a less than average campaign duration (around 6-8hrs max). Where BFBC2 does shine & excell is in MP, alass if you missed out on the launch day +2 shenanigans of the host list server etc then you will be rewarded with a very stable connection in general. There are alot of servers listed and many full, why? in my personal opinion it's the structure of the game, it is like COD/ MW1/2 fast but with a stronger emphasis on tactics, where you will find that working together is the only way to rack up regular wins. The game has fixed two main classes for me which many games get wrong, note I say games because this is a game & not a simulator. The first is the Medic class which for the first time is really a useful class, meaning you can actually fight & be helpful to assist & earn credit in game for it. You have (once earned) revive pads, medic kits & fire power all making the medic a truly important person in the team. The second class is the so called Sniper class which for good reason EA/Dice call the Recon class. The term Recon is so much better as a description because sniping is only one element, The recon class brings Sharp shooter, Spotting, Info Recon, Sensors & Artillery strikes to the table, I think DICE made a good call. Overall With the badges & pins to collect, length of service, personal stats & comparison stats of you & your friends list, this title will entertain for a long time........ 9/10 For Multiplayer 7/10 for Single player. Key words: Addictive, moreish, teamwork, voice comms, Action, fast paced.... P.S. Not to forget the sweet 'DOG TAGS' you collect from the victims of every mother F. you stab in game, they come in various colours/ metals & hang in your personal showcase as trophies... P.P.S. Sparta has a growing list of players that are friends & members. http://www.legionofspartans.com/forums/ind...st=0#entry50228

Which View, 1st Or 3rd and Why?
viiiper replied to WhiteKnight77's topic in GR:FS (PC) - General Discussion
1st, simply the most realistic, in RL we see 1st person & 3rd person on a computer game is a strategic/ tactical advantage view, nuff said. -
BF: BC 2 - PC Trailer - "Valparaiso Talkthrough (Redux)"
viiiper replied to Pave Low's topic in BattleField series
Dedicated servers are not for general release use, meaning EA will run them with partners, you can rent them and have a dummy terminal on a rented server but not on your machine or your own private server. The game as far as I know will not come with dedicated server files..... -
BF: BC 2 - PC Trailer - "Valparaiso Talkthrough (Redux)"
viiiper replied to Pave Low's topic in BattleField series
you know, for a game like this I totally agree.. a game like original GR prone is a must, slow & tight, in this one it seems wide & fast, plenty of cover and plenty of destructible objects to keep the terrain varied. I think I will be a contender on the 5th march (UK release) something to fill in the year and I hope to see Rocky there too.... FTW. -
BF: BC 2 - PC Trailer - "Valparaiso Talkthrough (Redux)"

I'm pleasantly surprised (especially with the SUP APPROVAL) I will be giving this a go especially the SP/COOP. thx for the posting. Release date PC 2nd March 2010. -
I don't know if that's a poke at how deranged GR:FS is looking (in my opinion) or how sexist presenters are being used to cover up (there's the joke) weak products.... either way, it's just a reflection of how companies fail at advanced thinking and make everything fit the lowest common denominator. Either way, UBi adding presenters to GR:FS might be on their plans, video intro, newscaster scenario... typical UBi paper thin storyline.....

Ubi PC Titles To Require Online Authentication
viiiper replied to CR6's topic in The Video Gaming Industry Discussion
When your ISP goes down you loose all ability to play the game in Multiplayer or single player, if Ubi verification servers are down (like others have said) you loose the ability to play the game & if you go on holiday with your laptop & the game you have to dial ? international connections via 3G !! to play..... It gets better & better... Codematers make big mistakes like NOT INC. a CD key & Ubi go the other way & basically nurf the game unless you connect to the net.... Pray you always have access to the net...... Nice to see development companies working on new tech. Wait for the return of the 'lenslokx' All the rage in 1983 (never was hacked or cracked) (because even if you owned the game you nearly always failed the verification)..... pray I'm not the only one that remembers this copy protection system.... ?? p.s. for the young un's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenslok -

Dragon Rising - Map making?
viiiper replied to Evilducky's topic in Military Tactical Realism Titles
I am and so are a few others but because of hostility to Cm & people praising this game I've decided to keep myself to myself and do it on the quite. Sad really when you get so many die-hards attacking a good game but I just got fed up of the Mr. negatives..... All the best, lua is really easy...... -
