Hi! Just recently I started playing OGR coop with a friend of mine. I was the host and I started as Alpha1, he as Bravo1, but in the game he was able to command friendly AIs. So how does the game decide who's the squad commander? And how can I change it? Also we play with AI backup + respawn via coop_avatar.toe file edit. I know that you can edit what kits the AI gets in there, but is there a list of kits around somewhere? I mean their file names. When I check them in the game, it only displays a number, but in the .toe file it's sometimes "jack stone 03.kit" or "nigel tunney 02.kit" and such.

To be honest I'm not sure what is my steam username is (is it the nickname (Malleus), or the one I log in with?) but here's my profile page, hope it counts. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197968583682 -

How do you do that? And is it possible to do that in story coop, for all players and AI? -
Well, he was unarmed (at least when I got to him), but considered an enemy by the friendly AI. I managed to capture him getting to him before my teammate shot him. (I work with three 2-man teams). One small thing at the last mission: the Destroy SAM objective didn't register, and it showed up as failed after the mission, yet I could finish the mission without problem. Also, power-nitpick - the insertion car on the River Bend mission has the wheel on the right side, but AFAIK Nigeria is a right-side-driving nation. Anyway, as you can see, I just finished this mod, and it was awesome. Special mention goes to the ambient sounds. For example, the dog on the Hotel level was a funny surprise , and things like the airplanes passing by in the distance on the Railyard Night level, it was cool. The weapon sounds were also great. Speaking of the Railyard Night level, there are some pretty crazy stealth missions in there Tinker - now I learned to be afraid when I see "map & mission by Tinker" at the briefing. These missions are interesting, and they certainly put GR's gameplay into a new light. You don't see this kind of thing in the original campaigns. So thanks for all the work everyone put into it, Blood Oil was great.

How am I supposed to capture the leader on Mission 11 (River Bend Day)? My AI teammates always shoot him. EDIT: I managed to do it, but shouldn't he be a non-enemy?

Ubi PC Titles To Require Online Authentication

Ubi PC Titles To Require Online Authentication

Ubi DRM double fail? I just spotted what appears to be a multiplayer crack for SCC. Yes, one that allows you to play on ubi's service and use Uplay (whatever that is). People say it works. I mean this is ... wow. Ubi will likely do something about it, so it probably won't last long, but still... serious fail. -
Thanks! That worked.

Now i've run into a real problem. Whenever I try to load a game on the fifth mission of the campaign (waterfall), the game crashes. Both when played in the campaign and when launched from quick mission menu. Only mission mode is affected however, I tried it in firefight, and load game worked fine. I figured I'd just skip this mission with the 'autowin' command (no way I'm gonna ironman it ), but that doesn't complete the objectives, and on this mission, doesn't unlock the specialist. Any way to make the objectives completed, or get the specialist character otherwise?

Lol, yeah, I feel the same way. Crysis was great, and I have nothing against scifi tac shooters, but I just couldn't play this GRFS game and not think about [GR].
-
Not sure how the file structure of GR works, but I checked the /equip files, and the n-xcr_aimpoint-2x5-sd.gun and the n-xcr_cqb-sd.gun file references the m4sopsd_s.wav for sound, and the n-xcr_aimpoint-2x5.gun and the n-xcr_cqb.gun file calls for the w_M4SOCCUM_ss.wav sound. Now the thing is that the m4sopsd_s.wav actually sounds like unsuppressed fire, while the w_M4SOCCUM_ss.wav sounds like a suppressed "thud" sound.
-
Hi there. Something's wrong with the XCR weapon sounds. Seems like the suppressed and normal sounds are mixed up. I used the aimpoint 2x5 version suppressed and it was loud, and then I tried the cqb version unsuppressed it was silent. Just thought I'd report it.

show of hands for potential purchase (March 2010)

Same here. I also agree with what WhiteKnight77 said. It's perfectly okay to make a scifi tactical action game, but why make it a part of a franchise that was never scifi? So they can say "new game in the long running critically acclaimed franchise"? Yeah, but when it got that critical acclaim, it was completely different, lol. -
"First look" article to be in April issue of OPM
Malleus replied to Calgar99's topic in GR:FS - PlayStation 3
Wow, that sounds pretty bad. It'll be probably coupled with the usual cover mechanic stuff and fancy graphics (I predict glowing stuff) and over-designed hud/interface. Not that I expected anything else... -
Probably just a funny coincidence, but so far everyone I came across, who uses "of" instead of "have" (""Hope to of fixed everything""), turns out to be British. Anyway, thanks for the patch, the link is working now.
-
There's something wrong with the mediafire link, it says it can't find the file. Btw, Tinker ... are you British?
