  1. just did a clean install with mod and no custom maps, and i get rgp.dsf error on coop retrive as a client. (maybe it is my pc that does not like fps games .. i don't know)
  2. your version of the game is not patched up to the latest graw2 patch, that might be the problem tried the patch/zip file and it still gave the rpg.dsf as a client, maybe it is my game that is screwed somewhere.... host also claims me to have altered game files while he installed the same zip. well thanks for trying, going for all clean install and such, any way evne though the hickups on my end, i enjoy the mod sp is lovely and the coop games that do run are awesome, and i just learned to appriciate the .45 you gave us, it is a great addition to the arsenal.
  3. this was all client side (my side) and the host was not encountering these problems... the rpg does also give hickups when chosing it as a player, i'll try to reinstall the whole game and have a clean version. btw, on coop_defend the park it does not have a problem, (as a note to custom maps)

  5. i played coop online with a friend and we had different maps, stock and custom, some were perfect, others were not, timber crashed on the client side with a bullitweapon.dsf and once i had an rpg.dsf crash, and saw that the rpg had a mrc gl atatchment on it. most of the times it is when near the end or when lots of enemies are around, sometimes when joining a running game, and when using a mounted .50 we figured out that client was rpg.dsf and when host gets on the .50 stationairy it gives bullitweapon.dsf. but it happens on all kinds of maps, and have a random feel to it, sometimes it feels like you just are not allowed to get a certain weapon on coop-snipers an ai was near with an RPG and it gave rpg.dsf ctd. while othertimes it happens when chosing it yourself or the host gets it. i do not know if it is because of your mod, but these increase a lot when running your mod. i'll try to document it more detailed so it gets a little more clear.
  6. thanks brettzies, i enjoy your mod and great job you've done. i do get some ctd's with various maps, most are bullit weapon.dsf related, though that was 1.46 and now going to try 1.47, if you want i could post the logs, but overall thanks for this great mod, it helps a lot especially the rework on the ghosts is great, makes it feel a little more "real" and i am just so inlove with the m468

  8. euhmm.... i got one i could measure partially, the damn, that one is huge,.... first part is like 250 - 300 meters long, then you get the corner up to the dam itself which would be.... between 300 and 500 meters long the damn is about 200-250 meters long and then the last part would be kinda like 200 - 250 meters long. then take the general width, which would be between 50 and 150 meters. and the tunnel complex... dont forget that one... so it is a lot.... i thought of using draw distance as my guide to measure... so i could be off and i have not played in a while... mp maps... timber would be around 600-600 mp players try and go out and measure with the dreaded m99... i'm probably way off
  9. i think ubi has no intrest for a game to last longer than 6 months you should have bought the next game after 3 months just for them to keep shareholders happy.. shareholders give a rusty nail for lasting games cause they (the games that last) do not fill their pockets.
  10. i think ubi wants to sell it to the old gr players and atract new players, and fear that if it were to be a Tac Sim, that only fewer copies would be sold as a shooter has more audience, secondly i think that grin is capable of making a good tac sim, but i doubt they would ever get the freedom to do so. third, looking at the front page here seeing that RPGhard has got interviewed because he has been the most downloaded modder, i think we also have to look at the game attitude amoungst players, RPG hard makes fun coop games, but are far from [GR] coop games. this only shows or a lack of modders making [GR] style coop maps/missions, or that the majority of players will settle for the shoot em up coop. (this is not ment as any negative critic to RPGhard as i am thankfull for his efforts and modding, but it is not near [GR] coop for me.) so where do we go from here ? i still enjoy graw2, but like many have said, you get from one kill zone to the next though if i remember my moscow/red square a bit, it was also like that, so maybe it is inherent to the city fighting. (or we are all just claustrofobic) but i would like to see grin push it one time more. cause the improvements they made were good, (just that coop kit... that sucks and a few little things) and i do think they can make a tac sim, but would ubi let them ?(in a grin graw3 case)

  13. yes tagging, cause it can be a tactical tool that allows you to silently communicate and evade, it is just the same as comms only visual...

  15. can someone send a copy to god ? so maybe he can plea for us ? i am still eagerly awaiting some modders work, like that of biro (i see you reading now) and dirtbags scripting venture maybe some coop from lightspeed ... ? this will help other modders when these guys have paved a way and modding has taken steps to get off for real, or they can show with their works that we do need the help of grin ubi and maybe god to get this game up to par with GR. *all religious references not intended to ##### people off but to show some ernest and a bit of fun*

  20. i'm very interrested in what you come up with, i think tagging can be a very usefull tactical team tool, would love to see it implemented more often cause it is a great coordination tool and communication aid
  21. i don't know for sure but i think you can give any one a tag ability and de tag ability, i think you should look in the rsva scripts to find the details, wolfsong was working on a new kit mod a while back where he was thinking or using tagging and de tagging for different classes. http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=45703
  22. will server hosts please post here if they install this one on servers ? that would be nice to know and would make connecting a little more easy, thanks lightspeed for this mod, i'm sure to test it.
  23. we can only hope that ubi is not happy and breaks contract or partial breaks and allows direct ip for this game so that we can play no matter what !
