bcrb21
When I click the Fileplanet link to download the mod no public or subscriber forums are listed. I'm logged in and have tried with both IE and Netscape. Not sure what the problem is, Fileplanet has always worked fine in the past. Any ideas? TRC
Nicely done Earl, thanks especially for the m4/m203 . The texture thing is weird in that it does reset just by clicking to a different weapon, so the game plays fine. No crashes yet and I've tried a variety of kits. The sr47 was amazing as well. Good job.
GRIN_Wolfsong
Earl, great work as usuall. Didn't expect anything less.
9mm
Great work as always, Earl. Models are very detailed, and texture work is just outstanding. However, the most important thing is that your weapons fit into Ghost Recon PERFECTLY, they simply look in the hands of the Ghosts more natural than the Ubi Soft ones! The only thing i miss is the M4+Frags kit for a rifleman actor, but since it's pretty easy to do this on my own, I won't complain. I would like to ask You also about your future plans. Will You continue the work on Standard Upgrade, or will You return to your former projects (SR47/74 Addon for OFP, Russian Small Arms for OFP and Raven Shield)? Thanks again for your hard work for the community!
ultra_violence
Earl, Great work!!!! I'm very impressed with this mod. Quality models and skins like these have been FOREVER coming. No offense to other guys, i'm not really into mods that take away from the feel of the original. To each his own I suppose. Two things... 1. Is there any chance you might be working on a AT4/M136, the original model is awful, you seem like the best guy to rework it!!! 2. Do you have your original model/skins of the new para M249 with the larger OD 200 round box lying around? I'd love to get a copy.... 3. Am I blind or is the M16/Cmag not available? Specialists only? Suicide Commando
Am I blind or is the M16/Cmag not available? Specialists only? IIRC Buzz Gordon has the M16A3/Cmag.
Apollo
Those models and textures look good. What's your poly count for the model in the first pic of the sniper rifle? What's the poly count for the actual in-game model of the same weapon? Thanks. Edited January 27, 2003 by Apollo

Earl
Future Plans: I'm going to try a few things to fix the M4 texture problem, and probably drag the necessary Vympel weapons into Standard Upgrade with some minor improvements (RPK74, AN94, 9A91, PKM, AK74, AK47 etc). There's also a few details on the current release that I'd like to fix, just minor stuff that got put aside. I've got a few things going in OFP, I want to fix up the M68 versions of the SR47 and 74, and add new sounds to get it out of beta. Then I want to finish my VSS and AS Val for OFP. After that, I've got two requests to provide weapons for TC mods - one GR and one OFP... And throughout all of this, I still want to get my Vympel character models made for IT. I need to figure out how to get piggyson's GR skeleton attached to my CHRs. Since I'll be cooperating with Bajabravo soon <hint hint> he can probably help me out with that. ultra_violence > 1. M136 - yes, new model and I'll be adding an M3 MAAWS. 2. No, but it's only a matter of connecting the two parts. 3. Buzz Gordon isn't in desert siege, so no M16A3-cmag there, but you can get it in MP and Original+IT. i'm not really into mods that take away from the feel of the original I had a feeling there's a number of people who feel this way and don't stick with mods for very long, and there's never been anything quite like Standard Upgrade --- call it a good marketing decision. What's your poly count for the model in the first pic of the sniper rifle Which one, could you post a link to the image, or describe it? MONOLITH
I've never been much of a weapons mod fan, but I had to stop in. Those look awesome Earl, Really great job. The Desert Sopmod is making me download this. Really nice. Thanks.
Mast
Hi Earl, I luv the mod. It's awesome! I luv the M-4 SopMod w/ desert camo and the SR-47. Any plans on giving the SR-47 desert camo? And how about seeing the L1A1 (with the long flash hider) with that sight on it? One weapon that I would like to see in a future update is the Swiss Stgw-57 in 7.5x55 Swiss. Here's a pic: Sweet looking weapon...I remember the Swiss mod that DarkGiver made awhile ago, the update was suppose to have this weapon but never happened. Oh...well. DWilliams11
YES! This mod rules! Thank you so much for making it. I love the fact that your models simply replace the older ones instead of just adding new ones... really cool. Great models!

xG5kdo
Hi Earl, I have a few questions for you regarding Standard Upgrade: I downloaded and installed it. It went just fine. But when I tried it, I noticed several missing weapons: 1. I don't see the M4-SOPMOD desert version anywhere. (I thought you made it available only in Desert Siege, but I tried that, and it's not there). 2. I don't see the M16 w/c-mag anywhere. Other than that, everything else is peachy! Am I missing something? Out.

(I thought you made it available only in Desert Siege, but I tried that, and it's not there). 2. I don't see the M16 w/c-mag anywhere. The desert SOPMOD is in DS missions... Ramirez is the specialist that has it. Cmag is Buzz Gordons weapon... IT and GR.
Earl
M4 SOPMOD Desert: specialist Henry Ramirez, who replaced Jodit Haile (#3?) in Desert Siege. M16A3-Cmag: specialist Buzz Gordon, Origmiss and Island Thunder. Both are available to Rifleman in MP. If you specialists aren't unlocked (then you should play the missions to unlock them!!!) or you could download the unlocked_heroes.xml for each GR expansion pack. Killa_N_Manila
They're lookin good Earl, this is the #1 mod on my list to d/l, can't wait to get it!
xG5kdo
Tee hee! Ok. I see now. Which, ladies and gents, brings me to a new problem. My specialists disappeared! Yep. They're gone. I've played through all three campaigns, unlocked all the specialists, but when I went to play individual missions from Quickmission, the specialists aren't there. Well, for Ghost Recon missions there are there, but not for Desert Siege nor Island Thunder. I then went back to Campaign and check if the campaigns are still there. Yep. They are. I clicked 'Resume Campaign' and started the last missions of every campaign. And sure enough, all the specialists are there. Just not for quick mission. Any ideas why this might be happening? Out.
