Some Swedish birds are painted in olive drab and some are camo painted, this one has so far only been given its first coat of base paint (slightly to light green too I might add) and if my photoshop skills are up to par it should end up looking something like the below picture when I'm done with it.

And as for the Alouette III...that does look alittle bit similar to a BO105 but there are quite a few differences.

Alouette 3 info

BO 105 (hkp9) info

thanks guys, but there is heaps of work left to be done on that texture! Just hope my Photoshop skills are up to it!

The link for the Alouette 3 info is fixed...my darn computer was acting up so I had to type the addy in by hand....and ofcource I messed it up :wall:

And if Stalker does want it I'll put some thought into it, I do know that the Germans use it in a different role compared to what I have modeled it for. As far as I know they still use it as an AT bird.

Cool Sir - thanks for considering! It was just a thought that popped into my head ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Not much that we can show at the moment unfortunately, Thumper is finishing off the models of his 2 helicopters (hopefully we can talk him into a render or 2 of them soon) and I'm still busy painting the camo on the Hkp9 model. Totally painting the texture in Photoshop is proving alot harder than what I thought it would be, my PS skills aren't that great unfortunately.

Rest assured that we are pluggin away during all availabe time that we get for modding!

Well, here's atleast alittle update on my bird. Work in progress shot of the camouflage pattern and detailing. There's still a heap left to do, including "ageing" the camo, but I'm hoping to get it done by the end of the week.

Thanks guys. Always nice to get good feedback, especially on a work in progress shot.

@Joe: mostly all weapon models has been showed in the thread at some stage and it would clutter things up alittle unnessesarily to display them all over again. What I can do though is to start showing off our characters with their weaponry and gear ingame. ;)

@Slink: I won't mess it up all to much mate. Right now it looks just that little but to artificial though and I think adding some age to it really would enhance the final look. With age I mean things like soot from exhaust on the tail section and so on.

Ok gentlemen, here's some screenies of our 5 normal operatives. Yup 5 operatives as we have 2 slightly different rifleman characters. Click each picture for larger ingame view (pretty much maxed out my graphics settings for these shots ;) )

From left to right:

Rifleman 1 (Ak5C Ggt), Rifleman 2 (Ak5C), Demolitions (Ak5D)
