Its easy to say that things sometimes come out differently than planned but, we can now summize that there was no planning for this at all at the time and he just shot off his mouth, knowing that Colin and AZ were two main COOP players in the community. Knowing that it wasnt going to happen and saying it was , I have to say, is a great marketing maneuver. If he had been honest then and said that GRAW wasnt going to support more than four layers in coop, I believe about 75% of the people who bought GRAW PC would have spent their money on something else, probably porn, as porn is of equal caliber to Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter without full coop capabilities. As far as Bo's post. He may have had "joking" in mind when he wrote it, but that is not how it was percieved by the masses here. Edit/Addition: If you call me a "troll", i tend to get a little aggitated. As well I should. Perception weighs 100 times more than intention. Just watched a dvd "Blue collar tour" with some US stand up comedians and one of them said: "Guns don't kill people, husbands that come home early do!" A good shot though, considering the Danes say that the thinnest book in the world is the one with Swedish humour as it fills only half an A-4 page. Tow-Angel: Sexual gratification has got nothing to do with it and is a very misplaced comment. Zeroalpha is a long time member and contributor to the GR community. He attended a public event and made a public report and naturally he comments in the forum to his experiences/expectations as he felt exposed. Tip my hat for that. When people read Bo’s reply, he says “you ain’t seen nothing yet†and also signals a “no harm meant†when he states: “you’re a target, not a friend (just joking)†The basics are the expectations to GR:AW as a sequel to [GR] and that’s where the ***opposites show in the forums*** and where Zeroalpha – at least at this stage – has a public disagreement with Bo Grin. Story (read: development of the game) to be continued. No more. ***The history of [GR] says co-op missions with up to 9 players and a JP Clark mod to exceed that figure so there are many teams around with 9 or more members. So who’s on the sideline when you got a weekly 4 to 5 hours’ get-together when you can play co-op with 4 men only? Or participate in a co-op tournament? Split up a longtime friendship in two or three â€You go your way, you yours and we ours?†Nope, we grew with [GR] and want to continue with GR:AW and if that ain’t possible, we’ll stick to [GR] for co-op. Wrong, if you are a coop only player maybe yes(depending if GRIN decide to add the old GR coop mode), If you play T vs T , firefight, seige, HH and domination the game is worth every cent. Because must people are not happy with the Coop outcome, doesn't mean the game is bad. Coop old style is just a part of the game. BTW the single player version ia very good too I thought single player was very fun. To me, it's worth it if you can pick it up on Ebay for under $25. GRIN has put alot into GRAW, however, there are those here that have bent over backwards supporting GRIN and GRAW despite the onslaught of flame post point at them. ZA and Colin took on alot in this with the only return was respect of peers. Bo post a Flame post in answer to an honorable man telling the ppl that trusted him that he was wrong. That is tackless. It isn't customer building. A note, GRIN, Bo might be a brillant developer but PR man his is not. I'd say that you keep on posting on behalf of GRIN, you seem to have a more customer minded attitude. One thing to remember is that ZA and Colin have a solid foundation of years in this community built on respect and level headness. Bottom line is that the future of GRAW isn't based ZA or this community answering to GRIN, it is GRIN is the one that has to respond to us to keep from fading away into oblivion. Just cuz you weren't in here before GR2 was a wet dream doesn't mean you don't have something to offer. I still agree you should pick-up [GR] w/expansions, get HX5, AlphaMod (w/StandardUpgrade), and see firsthand exactly what greatness the modders are really capable of when they feel the love. And let Rocky and the admin gang here talk in terms of what the community wants and such. I might be guilty of as much myself. But no one knows the ups and downs here better than he and his staff. The rest of us are n00Bz in relative terms. You AND I included... @[30+]Retlaw- superb analogy my friend. At this point, though, the car we bought (delivered only the tired) is now near complete. By now missing the backseat and air conditioning, but those are things a great number of drivers can make do without. And the electronic dashboard components and gauges aren't working quite right all the time ( got booted twice in less than two hours playing online...), but our respected automaker has our confidence in their ability to eventually get it solved via another recall or TSB. I just felt people were missing the one thing I was pointing out, and I may be just as guilty as the next person... But, that's because I'm very passionate about the way I see things. Is it a fault? Possibbly... We all see how quickly things can get out of hand, and that we are all guilty of something in regards to situations such as these. From 2 pages till the 9+ pages in less than 18 hours, now up to almost page 12 in the same amount of time in the same time frame... We all are passionate about what we think and feel. We need to remember what and how things progress very quickly here... Let the cooler heads prevail, and throw water on the hotter ones. I reinstalled [GR] and played some coop and I have to say it looked a compete disgrace with everything on high at 1024*768. I'm too used to GRAW to ever want to go back to that There's no action (i've only installed [GR], DS and IT) unless you install something like HX5. I think some people are looking back with rose tinted spectacles, cos that was a very painful experience for me. In terms of gameplay.... I honestly can't say which one's better now. The only thing that can possibly put [GR] ahead (IMO) is the added stuff like HX5 or the alpha squad missions. But in the barebones fresh install, GRAW wins every time. Even my brother who said this about GRAW, "this isn't ghost recon, it's raven shield outside", said nah this ([GR]) is boring now, I dont want to run ages shoot 2 guys then run for ages and shoot 2 more. Really, though. I dont think I can play the game more than once a week, simply because I'll get bored of those 3 maps if I do (i've seen them since the beta started). Nobody seemed to be bothering with the missions, so I had to just log off. Can I trust 'whoever', with my hard earned cash, to bring out a value for money expansion. I got burnt buying BF2:SF, not about to make the same mistake again. I think this'll be my last post on anything GRAW related until christmas, now. Will ther ever be more than THREE [GR] Co-Op maps to play? Will there evr be MORE variety of weapons? I think I have read (and some have hinted) that these will be available later on...from GRiN? enjoying this topic...............looks like us "Co-Op Fans" are still around and waiting........................
