Specter
So very sad to look at those photographs. ← that is exactly what i was thinking. condolences. ← They are sad and a celebration at the same time. What Mike did and the way he served made those pics possible. In all of those pics, he and his family are very happy. He did a great deal to make the world a safer place for his wife and baby. If only we all are or were as lucky to do so. It's a double edged sword. But I would rather look on it as what he made possible, not just for his family, but for all of us. Honor him, and send a prayer for his wife and family, and thank him for what he did. Not only for his men and his squad, but for all of us. Godspeed Mike. May God open the gates of heaven and welcome you in. Semper Fi.

T_1
It was a a year ago yesterday "They shall not grow old, As we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn, At the going down of the sun And in the morning We will remember them"

Marcinko
sorry for your loss Hatchet, some dont realise that losing a teamate is like losing a father. RIP Fighting soldiers from the sky Fearless men who jump and die Men who mean just what they say The brave men of the Green Beret. Silver Wings upon their chest These are men, America's best One hundred men will test today But only three win the Green Beret. Trained to live off nature's land Trained in combat, hand to hand Men who fight by night and day Courage picked from the Green Beret. Silver Wings upon their chest These are men, America's best One hundred men will test today But only three win the Green Beret. Back at home a young wife waits Her Green Beret has met his fate He has died for those oppressed Leaving her his last request. Put Silver Wings on my son's chest Make him one of America's best He'll be a man they'll test one day Have him win the Green Beret. Ballad of the Green Beret. DeltaDude
Sergeant Berry Sadler, a SF Medic during the Vietnam war originally wrote it as a poem. Later he composed it into a song and went on to have a singing career following being wounded in Vietnam. As I recall..
