Pave Low
As Rocky has already posted in the GRAW - CONSOLE versions forum London, UK– OCTOBER 7, 2005 – Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, is pleased to announce that it has decided to devote additional time to perfect the next installment in its award-winning squad-based military shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™. The game will launch worldwide for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in February 2006. The additional time devoted to the development of this title will allow Ubisoft to offer gamers the best episode ever of the award-winning Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise and will enable the game’s development teams to optimize the application of Xbox 360™ technology. The delay of the release date will not impact Ubisoft’s revenue forecasts for the fiscal year. Does it concern the PC version also ? Snowy
Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, is pleased to announce that it has decided to devote additional time duno if "pleased" is the best way to phrase that statement, but at least its some info, not the kind i was hoping for, but never mind............so long as it doesn't get cancelled
silent_op
Maybe now they'll get rid of the "picture in picture" HUD or add some Aliens. Oh well... Now if only Bohemia Interactive Studio would put some news out about their Armed Assault release date. silent_op
Buehgler_AS
Hmmm.. And we were a tad worried that AS's SR2005 was going to run past the GRAW release. No fear now

BornToKill
Not the Only game to be delayed http://news.softpedia.com/news/Delays-for-...ames-8205.shtml http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000667055466/ there are others. Microsoft still claiming to have their console on shelves by 22nd November in US, 2nd December Europe, 10th Japan. Now either Microsoft aren't going to make that deadline, or software companies have been late in recieving required dev kits/updates or they are simply waiting until the 360 has hit the Full Worldwide Market by Early 2006. South America, Australia etc... wont have the 360 until 2006.
newman
I am pleased to announce that i will be waiting to buy GRAW for pc after there is a demo. I am so tired of marketing spin.

The pc version will not have been ready for November anyway 2. To accommodate the Xbox360 version (?) 3. For marketing reasons. 4. Because the PPU cards are not ready or what? Everything seemed to be going well. I’m in disbelieve. Need explanation/comments plz!
Colin
UBI G.R.A.W. Xbox360 Postponed due to what ever. Why postpone the PC version. There is no reason as the PC version is near enough complet. A release date is a release date November 2005, You do not have any reason not to release the PC version, You stated that the PC version was for the loyal GR fans, Release it then, its ready, The PC fans do not want to waite for the Xbox 360 release. Why should we. If making us waite another 4 months for PR purposes is your way of treating the Loyal GR community then I for one am not laughing. warhawk
Didn't think they would let me down. Though I figured the delay would be until March. Anyone want to take bets on when we will get the "cancelled for PC" notice? Stout Hearts |RE|Warhawk
Rocky
Anyone want to take bets on when we will get the "cancelled for PC" notice? ← I'll take that bet. GR:AW will come out for the PC, just a bit later than expected. Now, Lockdown on the other hand...
griz
the press release almost reads as if it were translated from french by a japanese engrish professor. this is one of the most horribly mis-managed games in history. i wouldn't be surprised if 'duke nukem forever' showed up before the next PC installment of GR. ubi: drop a deuce or get off the pot. swartsz
personally i am not too worried about this delay, only gives the devs more time to make it a better game.
Rocky
this is one of the most horribly mis-managed games in history. ← LOL, let's not go overboard. It's been delayed, so what - take a look at how many other titles have been delayed. As for as "mis-managed games", there are countless titles that would beat GR:AW to that trophy! STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl comes to mind for a start.

Hopefully the delay will give GRIN time to add some new stuff they didn't expect to able to get in and polish the stuff they already have *Fingers crossed*
stevenmu
Thought something was up, theregister.co.uk had a story earlier with confirmed release titles for the 360, but no mention of GRAW, I was hoping it was just an oversight.
Rocky
and in the No 1. slot is Raven Shield ← Haha, I was going to mention RVS, but didn't want to start a riot
Dick Splash
Oh well! .........the winters get pretty GRIN....errrrrr.....I mean grim....in Scandinavia, so assuming the PC version is near complete, they'll be spending a lot of time indoors sheltering from the cold perfecting the 'beautiful game' and still have plenty of time to knock out a lovely expansion disc just after E3 '06. Zebb
Maybe its time now that developers just stop predicting these non existant release dates when they announce a new game and just release it when its finished.
