=warcloud=
Oh shame about the delay... lol.Iwonder if it will be delayed even longer, because the next thing would be to have GR:AW compatible with VISTA?
SFH_Mortem
It's always annoying when you have to wait for something you really long for. On the other hand, I have waited about 4 years now so what's another 3 or 4 months if the game is going to be as rock hard cruel as most of us hope? If these extra months for the PC dev team gives them the opportunity to add extra features and fine-tune the already implemented ones, balance gameplay into perfection and so on, I will be more than happy to wait a little while longer. fr1j0l3
bah. Implementing on the X-box(ppc) has proven difficult, so they delay the entire game franchise. When it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck....

I expect bugs and problems in new game releases all the time, they should just release it as is and let us beta it. That's what i did with Battlefield 2, even with issues, but hey you still get to play the game.

JFSebastian
This is from a post I made myself unpopular with u guys about, but it would seem that it was not so "blasphemous" as you guys first thought!!!. >>>> "............Thank you fro making my point so exactly Cobblers, why if it is only 2 months to release date are we using terms like "time will tell", how about GRIN (not time) tells us about the AC, so we can all stop "hoping" about it and start having our faster links installed in antisipation of the "blessed event"........... Shades of GR2 for PC starting to creep in here....... why is GrIN so shy about it??.........................."""" <<<<<< That post was 6 weeks ago, and I am certain that if the game was ready for PC, UBI would be sending it out to make as much money as possible as soon as possible. I never believed the release date, because of all the vague stuff in the answers to the most important questions - asked and "unasked". The best post I read in this thread is the one about them cancelling GRAW as GR4 is coming out eventually!! LOL if it were any other company that would be just a funny post..........but with UBI..................." JF. PS> In the early days of PC gaming, small companies (like Sierra and EA - yes. when they first started they were small and good companies) that made games that were great, sooner or later another will come along and develop a game that will be like GR1as far as game play goes, but with the updated graphics and stuff (like replayes, and an AC) that we wanted. When it does I will be the first person to buy it and set up a league for it, as I really would like to have nothing more to do with UBI. Soroc
Saw this one coming a mile or two away. So while you all were waiting impatiently for UBI to not do the same thing again for the last few months, we've been playing the closest thing to an upgraded GR that you can *actually play today* Of course, I wouldn't want to interrupt your mourning and flame-fests, but if you decide you'd like to actualy *play* something instead of keep wishing for it, stop on by...Patch 1.1 coming out in about a week. That puts us two releases up on UBI. http://www.ObsidianEdge.net

EspiOne
Personally, I have been upset since the cancellation of GR2, but that is old news. I really don't care if AW is set for PC. I will continue being a loyal fan of GR, the orginal . It started it all and since we have nothing to compare it to, another version of GR for PC, it still remain the best available version. Ubisoft will keep doing what they are doing and they don't care about us PC gaming, the money is in the consoles. Just my opinion, but if ubisoft wanted to, they could just make us orginal GR fan a couple of expanision pack and I would be satified. Out...... SFH_Mortem
Yeeez. It's a delay, not a cancellation. And it's not that uncommon you know. Delay doesn't equal Ubisoft. All publishers suffer them. It's unfortunate, but I believe developing a game like GRAW isn't exactly a walk in the park. Unforeseen problems is likely to occur. And sure, maybe you should be a little more careful about predicting release dates (goes for the whole industry) but I'm sure everyone involved wholeheartedly set out to complete it until the holidays. This crap about it all being a market stunt just seems unlogical. It seems more likely that it has something to do with Ubisoft wanting a simultaneous release on all platforms. Maybe some of you are right and Ubisoft doesn't care about PC gamers, but I would expect GRIN to care since they're actually making the PC(!) version. And since they're lurking here I am pretty sure they not only care about the PC fans but also about what's being said on this particular forum. @warhawk; Yeah, I believe you've already mentioned that. @=warcloud=; Five years is far too long to excuse, but still, HL2 is a pretty darn good game imo. EspiOne
Well, it looks like I stand/sit corrected a bit, just read the post on Airfield Swap mission from RSE. Mikey21X74
Doesn't matter to me, my PC is too crap to run it anyway. I'll be getting a new PC some time next year, so the delay is a good thing from my point of view.

smokin
While I find it very likley that we are having to wait for the game because of X-box, Im also not to upset by it. I imagine Grin will take the oportunity to tweak things here and there to make them just right, maybe work on mod tools (hint hint).

Logos
Well, I haven't stopped in for a read in quite some time, and earlier today, I thought, "hey, I ought to go over to GR.net and see if GR3 has been delayed yet." I'd say it was prophetic if it weren't bloody predictable with this franchise. As I see it, with this delay to February, we're on track for a late January delay to June, followed up by an early May cancellation concurrent with an announcement/promise of GR4 for Christmas 2006. I swear I'm not bitter, but I AM with Colin at the bar. BTW, I'm not forecasting cancellation; it was a joke. However, February? My advice to the "I'm not worried by this delay/ just more time to improve it" crowd is to not get your hopes up; then, if/when it comes out, be there with me picking up your reserved copy on opening day, take it home, and love it. Disappointment is about expectations not being met. So drop your expectations for a February release date. You're going to be disappointed. It's UBI. Look at the same threads from last year. It's Groundhog's Day, people. --Logos

golfnut
I went on UBI's site a pre-purchased GR3 and it said the shipping date would be November 8th. After hearing about the delay in the release I was ###### and cancelled my order. Just yesterday I went back in an started to order it again, expecting it to say the shipping date would be sometime if February, but it was not. The UBI site says that the PC version can be expected to ship Winter of 2006. Here we go again! I'd say it was prophetic if it weren't bloody predictable with this franchise. el nino foxhound
Ok, just explain me.................is january/february of 2006 not winter? I have absolutely no opinion about all those things being sad (said) here lately. I havent visit the ubi forums in a while, is it empty there or something? If it wasnt for the game I would really pray for an early release, just to get this forum up to normal level again in no-time.
golfnut
December is winter 2006 also. The point is, Winter is much more vague than February. I wouldn't expect a release until April at best. el nino foxhound
My last reply here will be: If they say in a review "You can shoot enemies from 5 meters", do you than automatically assume they use a photocamera? You know? Photoshoot? Shoot is very fague aswell. Kind of first person photography games................would that be a sim or a roleplaying game? Be glad they did say winter, now you can go on summer holiday with an easy feeling in your body, knowing that during that time the game wont be released. I assume.
