bitshot
The "RED FIVE" modding team (all two of us) will be releasing a new mod soon. Still quite a few detials to tend to, but we are working hard to complete it. I''ve decided to post a few shots of the first map to get a little feed back, then I will post others as some of the details are worked out. We plan on releasing 5 maps in all. The first is a nuclear facility. As you can see from the shots it lacks a little more groundcover. I would like to include some dynamic steam coming from the stacks. I have a couple versions of the steam and am trying to decide wich to go with. These forums are inspiring, can't wait to give back to the community. bitshot
Here are a few shots from the 3rd map. It was inspired by the wood of the Pacific northwest (Oregon, Washington, British Columbia) My favorite places to go.. It can be very difficult to pic out opponents on this map. It is basicly a woods map, however there are a few surprises not pictured here. http://www.redfiveghosts.net/twiki/pub/Mai...cNuclear/1a.JPG http://www.redfiveghosts.net/twiki/pub/Mai...cNuclear/2a.JPG http://www.redfiveghosts.net/twiki/pub/Mai...cNuclear/3a.JPG http://www.redfiveghosts.net/twiki/pub/Mai...cNuclear/4a.JPG http://www.redfiveghosts.net/twiki/pub/Mai...cNuclear/5a.JPG Edited August 17, 2005 by bitshot

bitshot
Thanks for the kind words. We have put alot of hard work into these as you may well know what it takes. I know I sure have learned alot, and these forums have been a great source of information and inspiration. This is our first go at creating a full mod. This mod is a conversion, however it does not include new skins for the ghost. It may in the future time permiting. We hope to release in the end of September but October is probably more realistic. I am doing the scripting and I hope I can get up to the level that some of you are capable of. If any scripters out there have a bunch of free time and would like a go at it, drop us a PM. Thanks again! .... and I'm working on getting bigger screen shots. Dont know why these are posting so small....???? bitshot
Yeah I admit I'm a noob at posting in forums, so I'm not familiar with best way to post screen shots and such. Any quick suggestions?
Dannik
I've found my fave way to use images is to have a full sized version, and a thumbnail sized one, so dial up users aren't stuck loading huge images, and the images aren't so big they 'break' the formatting. Upload both files to a webserver, then use the following sample code for each image: This will give a small image in the post, but would be clickable and open the large image. bitshot
We are still on schedule for a late Sept. or October release. It is always tempting to go back and make small changes to a map. The new ideas never seem to stop. However we are working hard to get it out soon.
