I have added a little preview render of the M14 model to my website, click my sig to access the website or go to www.swartsz.com

I have a suggestion Swartz. Your M-14 model looks great but the character programming in Ghost Recon makes for odd positions of the hands on non pistol grip stocks. Solution, add a pistol grip to your new M-14 rifle.

Yes. Good suggestion, Militia Man.

@Swartzs: Looks VERY good man.

How about this for a suggestion.

[yodaimpression]Use the M14 SAW stock you could. A handgrip it has.[/yodaimpression]

On a more critical note, look at your scope mount and the scope mount in this pic.

6 or so more polys wouldn't hurt. ;)

thanks guys, I will try to make a version of the model with the pistol-grip for use in Ghost Recon. But i want to finish the textures for this one first before i will do any work on a pistol-grip.

@Whisper. yes that model is also a favorite of mine but i isn't quite ready yet. still have to lower the polycount a bit and texture the new parts. Hopefully i will have it ready soon.

Very nice render mate!  :thumbsup:

Any chance you could share the render settings you used for it? I've never been able to get my renders to look that nice white and crisp  :(

render settings

This picture will show you the settings i have used for the renders, i hope it makes any sense to you, i have tried to get them all in one picture.

But it isn't all Max i used to make renders like these, after i rendered the model i opened it in Photoshop, duplicated the picture, applied Gaussian Blur with a setting of 5 twice to the new layer. Set the blending mode of the new layer to Linear Dodge. After that i merged the two layers and applied a Unsharp Mask filter to it.

Plus i added a Paint Daubs filter with all the settings at 1.

If you have any troubles with it, please let me know and i will send you the render file.

@Cobra: 296, wow :D amazing number of models! keep it up!!
