Well, just because GR.net is down, doesn't mean I can't keep posting my progress!  I'm looking forward to the new board.

Here's the M24 I just finished a few minutes ago.  Well, it's not finished yet because it isn't painted in camo, and it doesn't have the cloth wrapping yet - I still need to form an attack plan for that, and figure out a few things with RSBs.

Anyway - here's the stock M24 with AN/PVS-10 8x day/night sight:

Yes Earl. I want to look at how your going to wrap this thing too. Because it will help me figure out how to wrap an M82 with ghille extensions all over it. Remember? :huh:

Yeah, I'll have both included. I worked up the model for the ghillie version, but it's going to be difficult to texture -- I might have to rethink the modeling.

While I ponder the subject, I'm going to start work on the M16A4.

@Russian Assasian, I'm going to remodel EVERYTHING. That's Origmiss, DS, IT -- All team weapons, and all enemy weapons.

I just finished the QD suppressor for the M9, and both of my M16 models are complete. Here's what's left before a release -- I might be able to finish today:

- texture M16A4 and M203

- model regular M249 with longer barrel and solid stock with M145 MGO

- change M249 Para to use 100rnd cloth bags and add C68 Aimpoint.

- Add M145 MGO (6x elcan) to M240B

- Add PAQ-4C to M4 (in place of PEQ-2)

- Add PAQ-4C to M249's

- Remodel Trijicon Reflex sight more accurately

- Add camo to the regular M24 version

- Add ammo box to M240B

- Retexture some of the earlier weapons where needed

The only changes I am expecting to make to the regular game layout is that support in SP will now have a choice between M249 Para and M240B. I think I'll leave the regular M249 for MP only. The M24 in black will be available to a specialist (now I'm thinking Ibrahim) and of course in MP.

Everything else should be a match to the original missions.

I spent a while working on the M16s, and they aren't 100% done.

It may be longer than a few days - I usually don't get much time to sit down and really work through all the little details unless I have spare time on the weekends.

sorry for the double post, but i was just wondering if it is possible to put ^holster points on secondary weapons?

@Earl, do you think you could put ^holster points on that pistol (the m9)? i think it would be possible. you would have to mess around with it's placement to get it onto the characters thigh.

@JTF-2: RSE had holster points on their pistols, so I'll put them in too. Thanks for reminding me, I overlooked that.

@Suicide Commando :lol: I've already had requests for getting the M16A4 into OFP. The project that it will be combined with is pretty high quality, so I think I'll do it. It won't be much work now that I have good textures completed.

I'm definitely a two-timin' sunova$%^&. Another modder is asking to get my VSS for OFP in-game. He's turning out some great Russian addons, and I think our work combined will get some much needed hardware in play.

But anyway -- this is about GR.
