Variable13
Hi all, I've been messing around with GR modding for a while and ended up putting together a mod that I actually would like to make available for everyone to try. It was inspired by the War of Infamy series and contains a collection of maps that some great modders have put together for the GR community. It is a 14 mission campaign that follows the Eastern Front in WWII from Operation Barbarossa to the Battle of Berlin. You are a part of the Red Army and fight against the Germans, with your characters speaking Russian and the enemy speaking German (thanks to "Slugg" and his Icebreaker mod voiceovers, and thanks to "Jack57" and his Band of Brothers mod voiceovers). I've played, re-scripted, re-played, and tweaked every mission so as to ensure a properly working mod, but would love to hear some comments, feedback, even criticisms on my first 'public' mod. I have compressed the mod folder (to 279 MB) but need help as to getting it posted under the "Downloads" portion of this forum. I don't have my own web site or an e-mail that can handle anything this big, but I am ok with mailing someone a CD or even posting it on FilePlanet or something similar. Can someone please contact me in terms of getting this mod up and available? Thanks! -Variable13

Variable13 @Variable13=> Wow, your mod sounds absolutely a treat: 14 missions; WW2 historical background; Beta tested already; especially playing as Red Army soldiers will be excellent... Looking forward to d/l'ing your mod asap!

Variable13
Just a quick update - I have someone beta testing it again, someone who doesn't know anything about the mod. When I test it, I of course know about every enemy position, objective, etc. so this will be very informative for me. So far so good - only one adjustment has been made so far and he's on the 4th mission. Also, most of the material in the mod (maps, vehicles, characters, etc.) have been borrowed from others. Now most of the mods come with a readme that allows usage of it. And I've tried (somewhat successfully) to contact the remainder of the modders, like those whose mods don't have a useage readme. So, here's a list of whom I cannot find contact info for, or their e-mail addresses no longer work: -Jack57 and using the Russian voice-overs from Band of Brothers; -BattleBorne's Ossetian Woods Map; -Rawker's R02_Industrial Map; -Alphasquad / biro's The Farm map; -151-Lancer's retextured winter wonderland maps; -sleeper's December map; -Blakarion's BlakOps-OpForVehicles. -I have tried to register on the War of Infamy forum but have not received the confirmation e-mail, so if any of those folks see this, I am also asking for their OK on the use of their German and Russian character skins, vehicles, and weapons. I figured it is best to ask permission rather than assume it. Putting all of this together in a 14 mission campaign took work, but these guys did the tough stuff, and they deserve the credit, which will be justly given in my Great Patriotic War mod. PM me if you are or were involved in the development of the above-mentioned mods, and I will give credit where credit is due. Let's get this mod off the ground! Thanks! -variable13

For the December map permission, contact Sleeper , he is always here too. For The Farm map, you may try to contact Biro here http://www.biroland.net/ , or in the alpha squad forums http://alpha.websmart.ro/forums/ , but i think he is not there anymore. Maybe you can find some email address with another alpha squad member. For the others authors, you could send a PM to Rocky, telling what you are doing, maybe he knows some way to get in contact with them. DonMiguel
permission granted. Nice to see that stuff still has some legs left in it Make sure you get the newest update files as the ones on our download page aren't the newest (go figure eh). 3d retreat should have the newest ones and I'll try to update the webpage if I find time. Make sure to acknowledge the whole WOI Team and not just me as a few have done. They deserve the credit more then myself.
Rocky
I think we have all the WOI files here, I remember spending some time working out what was needed. Here's the latest version AFAIK. If not someone let me know. When you are ready with this mod, drop me a PM and we'll arrange to get it on Filefront and Ghostaholic.
