IMO RSE's console version(s) have more of the spirit of the original than what GRIN did. I still get the feel with RSE's most recent work. GRIN's? Nope. I wouldn't expect RSE of today to bring back the original, with better graphics, at this point. I've come to accept that the way the series is leaning is here to stay. I just think they can still offer a title that is more flexible in MP (ie. every gametype on every map), and better preforming than what GRIN has offered. If Red Storm is making the next Ghost Recon PC title, I very much would expect it to be a port, a word I'm not scared of anymore. Just give the game editor on the disk, a dedicated server and I'll be happy until Ground Branch kicks the door down. I only know the same rumors that are floating around the forums. Your guess is as good as mine.

The first time you heard of "Team Rainbow", what did you think? Intially that doesn't sound very "cool" now does it? However, once you played the game and understood the group that name means something.

I remember you once showed me a photo of one of those nests in your attic. I know I'd nuke the sucker if it was in my house, I don't like bee nests. We had to take care of a few hornet nests last year at work, man those suckers are really nasty, I'd really hate to have one of those in my house!

The title has to be worth it for people to want to mod it. That was what kept GR1 going for so long, the base title was excellent and the mod communitty grew around it. This game will live and die not on mods, but on wheter or not people stick with it for more than 3 months, like it's predessor. If you used salt instead of sugar when you made the cupcakes, nobody will care about the sprinkles....

Hopefully this title will be a hit and some of the features find their way into the next GR title.

People hate change, they want a G1 movie and nothing else is acceptable. I mean seriously G1 was what, 15+ years ago, it won't work on the big screen even if the fans think it will. It was the same deal with the fans of the original BSG, they wanted a continuation and to them the vastly superior Galactica (IMO) is "GINO" (Galactica in name only). It's the same premise, same ship name, just far more real, dark and non-campy but to the hardcore BSG fan it's a travesty. They wanted their happy go lucky, nothing to worry about, rag-tag fleet back. I loved the Transformers when I was little, yeah the movie versions don't look exactly the same but it looks like it will be a great movie. Just today at the school I work at I overheard numerous kids talking about the movie. To them this will be Transformers, it might ###### off the 20-30 something crowd who grew on the originals but the new wave of fans will be hooked because of this movie, not the 80's one. Honestly they would probably laugh off the original movie, and a live action G1. All I know is I can't wait to hear Prime say "Autobots, transform and rollout" on the big screen.

A fixed date becomes a promise, if they cannot meet said date they recieve far more flak than if they didn't set one. It is really simple, and has been shown to be the case time and time again. "Soon" is utilized by a lot of companies, not just Ubisoft.

I use he MS VGA cable to connect my 360 to my monitor, works great. I just wish they would make an update that opened up a 1680x1050 resolution for the 360, oh well, still looks great to me. Also once you try out a race sim with the widescreen, you'll never want to go back.

Things like that really tick me off.

No one else here seems to have a problem grasping the idea that realism should dictate gameplay. In real life doing stupid things gets you dead, it should be the same in a game that sells itself as "realism based". There are things in real life COMBAT SITUATIONS that many games do wrong, or neglect. The idea here is to bring those things into play. No one is advocating a "move your left hand button", nor a "pick your nose button". The only one bringing things like that up is you. Seriously, it is getting tiring to see you come into EVERY thread acting like you know more than everyone else. There are some serious professionals around here who know what they are doing, they don't need you or I to nitpick every little detail. Enough is enough.
