Have to say the heat is on concerning the webpage though...the world, ie Gr.net, is soon to find out that whatever skills I might have in designing 3D models doesn not translate into creating webpages Be a challenge for sure! The mod ought to come in well below 5Mb, the beta copy pretty much without kits or kiticon's weighs in at under 3Mb and I doubt it should grow that much by adding in some kits. hawkeye_8083 Posted September 16, 2004 Share Posted September 16, 2004 Ok, as Stalker has released his next mod roundup and it speaks of some previously not talked about suprises that will come along with the XM8 mod I figure it's time to reveal the extra's I'm tossing in. Some if these has been seen before although I have rewamped some parts slightly, I've also made one brand new model to go along with the XM8's...call this my own little standard upgrade...lol 2 new MP5's to replace the original GR models, 2 new MP7's and a new L85A2 (SA80) to replace GR's pretty crappy model. All will be assigned to various specialists. And a closer look on the L82A2 model. We are gona have a lan party in a week and I wanted to have my mod done... the only thing I dont have are models of the XM 8 variants. If you have RVS you can acctually start up the map editor and have a look at the weapon models along with what polygon count they are. Take the L85 for example...in RVS the 3rd person model is a mere 174 polys while the 1st person one is 1240 polys. Mine is a good 1000 polys higher than that so it's no suprise it looks more realistic. And as for a release date. With alittle luck I should be able to release it sometime tomorrow, Lancer's going over the mod right now to get .gun files accurate and fixing up some kit selections. Depends ofcource alittle on how fast I can get it up to fileplanet as hosting it myself would kill my bandwith. @Boris: just hope that mod of yours will be a private one and not for release Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
