The weapons and the chars look great... increadible... lol i feel like a dork: i want to be a computer animator/artist and i cant do half that good... mind u im only 17... awsome detail and attetion to reallism... i think this is going to be a great mod... definately worth DLing :thumbsup:

Word of encouragement for you pantera: I´m not much older either, and I definetly didn´t know that I had it in me before. But install the .rsb-plugin and take a look at the different .rsb-files and if you know one or two things about photoshop, then of you go!

I can´t say its easy, but with some training (I studied Photoshop for 1/2 year @ School) you can perhaps create a MOD to, or atleast the textures.

How SnowFella got his magic touch with the 3DSM, I can´t explain...

The tac light just makes those complete. Very nice work. :thumbsup:

Thx for the words of wisdom tollen... might actually get 3dsm 4 back on my puter.... duh.... i sold half of my memory to a friend :wall::o=:rocky:

Ill have to get some more... 98 megs is not gonna do... btw snow is very humble when it comes to critisism .... i like that... way to go to the both of you and hope your mod comes out soon... i really want to try this 1...

hey tollen, where did u take photoshop course? high school? college? i'd really like to learn... internet tutorials are not very good ( i learn by watching then doing then inproving not by reading "this button does this and so on..."

Here's another update.

The AK5 C & D models finally have their proper mags, don't blame me for the colour though! :P

Aparently the swedish army has a thing for mintgreen aug mags.

All AK models also now features a suppressed counterpart.

Good to have such loving fans and I got a shock when I saw that this post have been read more then 1000 times!

You guys deserves the best, and SnowFella and I are working hard to deliver! As of now we are reworking some of our charachters and more and more of the charachters in this MOD will be made by Snowfella!

But still, we have some help out there and this is what Streinger just delivered:

It was some time ago when Streinger asked me if I just happened to have any pictures of a Carl Gustaf that he and Aus_Viper could use for the stabilize-mod, and well, I had ´em and this is what he made with ´em!

We sincerarly don´t know just yet! We have a bundle of ideas, but we don´t know which are doable. But we will have a full campaign or we will die trying!

#2: Specialists

Let´s see... You´ve seen 7 specialists so far in different screenshots and we got 5 more in the loop, but let´s present ´em all once again:

# Stadskyttesoldat = MOUT-Infantry (Screenie)

# Kustjägare = Costal Ranger (Screenie)

# ONI/NI = Police CT/HRT (Screenie)

# Prickskytt = Sniper (Screenie)

# MilitärPolis = Military Police (Screenie)

# MARKUS 1 = Swedish Landwarrior Rifleman equivalent (Screenie)

# MARKUS 2 = Landwarrior Support/Demo (not yet released)

# Sniper Observer (not yet released)

# SSG = Swedish Delta/SAS equivalent (not yet released)

# Sniper Observer (not yet released)

to this we have added the following, international specialists:

# German KSK (screenie)

# Brittish 22:nd SAS (not yet released)

What´s make these guy´s even more special is the fact that for once, we will be able to fullfill UBI´s claims that the specialists will be having a host of VERY special weapons and capabilities which forces the players to keep ´em alive for the next mission(s)!

Another short update.

We now have another card up our sleve, another modder that have joined the team! I'm very happy to welcome Thumper onboard the SWEBAT team! :D

This addition takes some of the modeling load of me & allows me to focus alittle more time on characher modeling. Most characters are now being reworked slightly in 3dsm. Hopefully we'll have some screenies of new characters in the coming days.

SWEBAT 2005 - Serbian Uprising... doesn´t it say it all?

Tollen, Snowfella..you are on tricky ground there, my friends. Not trying to discurrage you or anything, just giving you a sincire, friendly heads-up. I remember having problems when my mod (Croatian army) was released; just 'cause the names of some of my operatives were simmilar (not the same, but simmilar) to the names of some war crime indectees, one user, an ethnic Serb, started a thread, bad mouthing my mod...it soon flared up to become bad mouthing a real Croatian army, Croatia...he even went as far as to drag up some WWII stuff up...and prety soon, the thread was locked, but not before a snowball of negative campaign was well on it's way. It was back in the old forum that got trashed by hackers, so you lads might have not know about it.

I'd hate to see something like that happen to your mod. :(

I'll see if I can be alittle more forthcoming than Tollen when it comes to our plans. ;) Can't give you an ETA yet though as we are barely started with this project

Right now our mission & campaign plans are based on an idea I came up with over a year ago, well before I ever started my weapons modding. Figured that since my artistic skills are mostly none excistent my only way of contributing to this game would be through mission scripting. Knowing how well I did in my programming courses in uni (flunked bigtime!) it comes to no suprise that I had problems learning scripting! lol

At this stage most of our missions are only very loosely planned, we're focusing most of our attention to characters, weapons and vehicles & haven't even started the scripting work. Most missions are also loosely (very loosely) based on some real life missions that I either were involved in or could of been called to carry out during my time with the peacekeeping force in the former Jugoslavia. So think Force protection, protecting civilians, carrying out observation missions (Recce) and so forth and you have our general idea.

@ Streigner: Thx for the heads-up mate! We are probably going to have to sit down and think through our ideas very carefully as some of them might seem offensive to either side. Don't want to start a flame-fest or offend anyone with this mod. Its meant to be exactly what the game is, fun for everyone & shouldn't cause anyone to feel offended or unfairly treated. A PM is on its way to you further discussing this.

PS: Tollen feels alittle bogged down right now as I sent him 6 new custom made .chr's yesterday and now he has to make the skins for them :P;)
