@Xio, What rifle were you using? Just curious. I've had only two kills with one round that way, but I shot through the neck and was intentionally trying to kill them both. I've pulled off 6 kills with one nade though <-------- OT, but this "Cool" emoticon is titled "rocky"...hey that must mean that Rocky is cool, right.

@Blue Man, I may not have been a direct head wound...perhaps it was a neck wound...that would trigger the head as injured...we were only about 8 or 10 feet away. ...and hey, that Russian was me, so tread lightly!

I did already! Here's one I thought of on the way home: You copied the .wav files of the GR theme music and burned it to a CD that you play in you car, house, *coughworkcough*, etc... So Guilty!! When you meticulously examine every computer tweak and setting thinking, "How is this going to improve my GR gaming." or when every piece of hardware you upgrade to is somehow related to GR. So Guilty!! Edit: Holy Crap NightCrawler you got 93 posts?! Good God!!!

Guess I assumed wrong The upgrades will work for you...only $46 for the power supply? I'm not too familiar with Enlight PSU's but at 420W, should be ok.

It was never intended as the final release (which I'm sure you know that), just testing for the masses. Unless you have the nifty Dx Uninstaller, you may have to reinstall Me.

Very cool Alfa FSB. Counting down the hours! I do agree with the fact that if your carrying 4 AT-4 shells, nades, a rifle, and 8 mags...that's a dang load of weight...don't forget canteens, body armor, flares, food, charges and claymores, radio, and whatever other goodies you decide to take for the mission. That's why you split up the load... Edit: were those links supposed to be "clickable"?

Hmmm. A few things to try. Bear with me as I don't know your friends puter specs. 1. Be sure Dx is current. Type "Start", "Run", "dxdiag" and it will give you the version. 2. Run all of the Dx tests to be sure. 3. Update any drivers 4. Defrag and try a clean reboot...sometimes after installing an app, it doesn't work well without a reboot. 5. Update any patches for Me... 6. Carefully clean the GR CD. 7. Uninstall and reinstall... That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm not very familiar with Me systems, but perhaps the above might work. Good Luck m8.

Here's something that might help you. I myself play with this mod. http://www.planetrainbowsix.com/atwar/dbta...t_indicator.zip It will completely remove the indicator from your screen. Just d/l it and install it to your Mods folder...don't forget to activate it in your options menu! Good luck m8!

Um...I assume yours is the first one on the page...couldn't figure out which one you wanted cause I don't know your real name. Just a minute. Edit: Ok, if yours is the top one you've got one screaming, albiet expensive system. Everything looks ok except for a few things: 1. Your mobo only supports up to PC2100 RAM but you bought PC 3500...if your thinking of upgrading your mobo later that's fine but you could save some money and get the 2100 DDR instead. 2. It looks like your keyboard comes with a mouse(could be wrong though) and you're getting another one? 3. Don't forget a floppy drive and IDE cable! 4. You got speakers already? 5. Do you have that much money? j/k j/k

Can't believe I missed this thread...Count me in Alfa. I love your original ERM and I use it with every campaign. Much more realistic and the changes you make are some of the exact ones I have been wanting for GR, but I don't have much experience modding yet. So I'll play with your Mods! (does that sound bad?) I'll be d/ling it when the link arrives.

Hey, very cool. Didn't know about the registry edit for increasing the DSL/Cable Router speeds...some of the other tweaks I've already done. I added that page to my favs for future reference i.e. for helping friends out with their puters.

Well, since I reformatted my HDD since my hacker attack, I thought about reloading 3D Mark 2001SE for kicks. For those of you that don't know, I had tried it about 2 months ago and I couldn't get past the installation of the Texture Conversions. But I was able to run it np with the reinstalled Dx 8.1 and it's pretty cool. My score was a bit lower than I had hoped for...but since I don't overclock at all or tweak much, I guess it was expected. 8025 3D marks ...but maybe with my new GF FX card (hoping ), it'll be better. Anyway, the score doesn't matter much to me as long as my games and GR run and look good...and who wants to turn off AA for higher frame rates when I bought a GF4...I mean, come on, so you got 300 fps or whatever, but it looks like crap. Ok, I'm ranting but I am excited cause I can play the cool demo!

LMAO!!! You beat me to it! I think my post count was about 236...it took me 3 months to get there though. I know I was Scout 3rd Class. Here's my thoughts on this: 1. Post count is cool because it places a type of "seniority" with most of our members. It gives you a satisfaction of having "given your time" to the forums for months and helping and assisting others with issues. 2. I dislike post counts due to the inherent fact that people will post irrelevant nonsense and spam just to up there post count. Some of the other forums I have been to in the past, I have not returned to. Why? Because of people so obsessed with the next star or whatever they become very annoying...their goal to be a top member supersedes their abilities to maintain a conducive forum. In closing I want to say that GR.net has one of the best forums on the net, everybody is friendly(save the occational flame war) and willing to assist where needed... Other places people are just rude and it seems that their are major "cliques" in which "If you don't have such-and-such stars, I'm not going to talk to you." or "You're a noob, so I'm not going to waste my time helping you figure out some problem" Just my thoughts...personally, I think I like we should keep the post counts though.
