wombat50
Looks encouraging. Justin Drust looks like a kid but IIRC he was on the 2001 team.
krise madsen
Cool. Now implement that in gameplay, mission design and AI and we've got ourselves a tactical shooter.
scott_dft
Maybe I was foolish to assume Ubisoft would finally trash the GR line in these times of console wars, tight budgets, etc. Didn't realise that RSE were involved again, and seem to be taking their task very seriously. Please excuse my ignorance but the game clips shown in the video, is that early shots of GR:FS or showing RSEs previous involvment with GR 1/2 (sorry only have the GR:AW games)? Pave Low
Maybe I was foolish to assume Ubisoft would finally trash the GR line in these times of console wars, tight budgets, etc. Yeah does feel as though Ubi were draining the cash-cow so far from it's root's that it was no longer recognisable anymore Didn't realise that RSE were involved again It has not been officially confirmed or talked about but we here, have long suspected (and prayed) that RSE were involved in some level with the PC version seem to be taking their task very seriously. Oh Yeah, we here have long know "behind the scenes" of the level that RSE go to in getting "it right" and is why we are so passionate about their [Earlier] games. and it is great to see RSE actually getting some well deserved public face-time and recognition (rather than hidden away behind Ubi) and hopefully some well earned kudos from newer fans for their efforts Please excuse my ignorance but the game clips shown in the video, is that early shots of GR:FS or showing RSEs previous involvment with GR 1/2 (sorry only have the GR:AW games)? The split-screen gameplay clips looked to be from console versions of older games GR:AW maybe ? but I didn't recognise that toll-booth looking map shown in the studio from an existing game Little bit disappointed/surprised by a couple of things though A: That Ubi French office are still today at the stage of recording weapon sounds, shouldn't Future Soldier game be at a more advanced stage by now ? B: Shouldn't they already have sound recordings of those weapons shown, there didn't seem to be much radically new there ? & had been in games before (or are they just updating sound library using latest recording technology maybe and also using it as a hands on event) C: Where was the footage of the Cloak, Combat Drones, Shoulder-mounted rocket launcher being demonstrated and recorded ? ..... A: maybe they wanted a change in reigeme. deifnately a content change behind the delays B:new recording equipment might make the sounds a little clearer C: artistic licence? =warcloud=
This might sound odd to some but the main protagonist in a shooter game is the weapon, if it don't sound right it don't feel right and you lose a lot of feedback. Graphics and story and objectives is cool but the game sound to me is so important for maximum effect.
Papa6
hmm this is getting interesting.. I'm guessing that, with the globalization going on in the world today that, You could expect a game for GR(maybe) about global wars. Libya, Syria, Iran, Egypt and more... some might think that would be glamorizing real world conflicts/wars but it could also maybe open some eyes. wow, how did I find my way back here??? oh well..cheers!! Ruin
RSE is developing GR:FS's multiplayer side. Just for confirmation purposes. This is not RSE's only weapon sounds recording also, nor is it the only thing they're doing with realism. Hi Papa6!
