Shrike Socom CQB, Shrike Socom, Shrike Socom SD, CQB Masterkey Combo, CQB 120rnd drum Masterkey combo, Shrike Socom M203 Combo, Shrike Socom 120rnd drum M203 combo, Shrike Socom SD M203 Combo, Shrike A2 LB, Shrike A2 SB, Shrike A2 SB SD. It contains 17 kits for Rifleman, 15 for Support and 18 for Demolition. There are also some new kits for the specialists. Models The weapon models are really awesome. They have lots of details and I think the polycount isn?t too high because my GR ran fine while testing this mod. I was very impressed of the CQB Masterkey Combo. The shotgun with its bullets on the side is really amazing. Also the Shrike Socom SD looks great, especially the sound surpressor with its amount of details. But don?t forget the other models, they also look fantastic but these two are my favourites. Textures The textures in this mod are photo-realistic. A high number of details makes these textures sone of the best I?ve ever seen. On some weapons there is a good looking reflectance on the scope. There are also some tiny details that impressed me very often, like some writing on the awesome sound surpressor on the Shrike Socom SD or the great looking bullets that are comin? out from the magazine box. Sounds SnowFella made some new sounds but the sounds of the SD weapons are the sounds from the original M4 Socom SD. The new sounds are not breathtaking but quite good. I really liked the sound from the Masterkey (shotgun). Kit Icons Every weapons has a new kit icon. They have lots of details and look really good. Conclusion SnowFella has put together an awesome weapon mod. It?s one of the best weapon mods I?ve ever seen. The models, textures and kit icons look fantastic, it has fully multiplayer support and it weighs only 2.37 MB. I missed the nice lookin? reticules from V1 but that doesn?t make this mod worse. Great job, dude! I give this mod 9.5/10 cause these are one of the best weapons. It still amazes me that my first little modding project has been downloaded over a 1000 times. A few notes though: the poly count is acctually in the higher range (varies between 2000 and 2400) but after some testing done on an old system I found out that it hardly dented the framrate at all. The sounds for the SD guns are acctually slightly altered from the original IT sounds, tried getting to sound alittle deeper than the originals. I desided to remove the custom rets I made for V1.2 of the mod because of multiplayer issues. I included installers for both the original and the custom rets with V1 but to even the field in MP I desided it would be fairer if everyone used the same rets. I played with an P3/861Mhz, 128MB SD-Ram, TNT2 Model 64 , with full details (model,texture) , 1024x768x16 and all ran fine..... V1.2 is ten times better. i particularly like the way i can now 'Stealth up' my entire team by giving the support elements supresser weapons. Keep Goin Mate! Even got a request today for another Shrike model, a suppressed Shrike SOCOM/M203. If time permits there might be an addon of this weapon in the future.
