Korean Vets

I don't have all the details, but my Pops told me about a new ribbon that is retroactive for anyone who has served at least 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in defense of Korea whether for an exercise or some type of regular duty.

It seems I am eligible for this new award as I spent 2 1/2 months there for Bear Hunt 83 (SSgT Jackson, one of my drill instructors at boot camp was there too).

I will post more information here as it develops.

It is true, I hate to support another web site on this great one, but for all you Korea vets, myself included, 1988-1989, The ribbons is for our service in that country. More information is located at www.military.com. This will gave the current information on the award. Also, if you did serve in Korea, check with VFW, you will also be counted there.
