Plain Vanilla OFP aged badly, even back in the day was kind of ugly compared to GR...with that been said there are great mods out there...try the FFUR 2008 mod it adds alot to the game like new units and animations . I'm assuming you played ARMA series? if not expect a high learning curve I got my GOTY off EBAY for 12 US.... get the GOTY PC GAMER edition if you can EDIT: funny video below with FFUR 2008 Another one

silko, Tested 3ds 5 in W7 with a virtual XP machine like a year ago without any problems so you should be good to go if you get your hands on 3ds 5 You don't need W7 Professional tu run a virtual machine, get VMware player (FREE) because is much better and faster than the crappy W7 virtual machine solution. Hi Tinker, I'm guessing you want that XP compatibility because of 3d Max 5 right???? becuase honestly XP mode sucks in W7 you don't need W7 pro...just go for W7 Home Premium and download vmware player for free, their xp legacy support is much much better and btw is the only one that does limited D3D support

Not possible After the models are exported there is no way to convert them to 3ds You need the original files from the author I'm aware of Mike Schell's converter but that one was quickly removed back in the day (2002) because of possible mod theft

Your best bet is Xfire There are few servers nowdays because the game is old but usually I can see between 2 to 8 servers during nights (est time) also most servers are running mods so make sure you have those I saw in your other post that you have Heroes Unleashed that's a good start you should get CENTCOM and Blood Oil btw Hows is that K/M? getting better?

First of all do you have Desert Siege and Island Thunder? When you start the game at the menu look at the botton corner you should see some numbers I'm guessing you need patch 1.3 and 1.4

Cisco, Like I said above you should really try the K/M combo, I know is a painfull experience the first few days, be there done that when I trasitioned from PC to consoles as a matter of fact I felt so frustrated that I almost quit console gaming all together. with that been said is going to be harder to play the PC version with a controller because of the enemy AI, if they see you first by the time you can aim at them you will be dead, the PC version is tuned for fast reaction times with the K/M

I suggest you to learn the mouse and keyboard combo because as far as I know there is no way to play the game with a controller, you should be good in a week or so...... same thing happened to me when I got Halo (my first FPS on a console) on the XBOX but after a week I was good to go with the controller.

OH come on Tinker we are talking about UBI here, you should know better. Maybe the XBOX version?

RUSE is a new IP for them and they want this game to be a "HIT" Will see how things turn out when RUSE 2 is in development ps. Maybe they are looking at resumes right now to hire a community manager or do they have one already? lol

@wombat50 That painting despicts the last Battallion Size bayonet charge recorded in the U.S. Army It goes like this: A Batallion from the Regiment was tasked to take 2 hills near Seoul but after 3 days of fighting with almost no ammunition they where surrounded by a Chinese Division, higher HQ called and gave the Batallion the permission to surrender since they where short in ammo and no way to rescue them, when word reached the soldiers all of them refused to surrender so they decided to get out of there by any means and/or die in the process they fixed bayonets and charged the Chinese Div, at the end of the day the Chinese Div ran away and they took the 2 hills but of course after heavy casualties. My avatar is actually the original 65th INF patch and now used by the U.S. Army Reserve here in Puerto Rico Of course there are other things too like the mass court martial and when Col. Betances got relieve from command I own the documentary "The Borinqueeniers" which is a documentary of all Puerto Rican (SEGREGATED) 65th Infantry Regiment

@Mark Got this game with all the expansions 8 months ago(yeah I'm late to the party), first off the game GFX are dated even when the game was new looked like @##$ with that out of the way let me tell you OFP is a great game and is a shame that I never played the game back in the day, there are 1000 of mods out there from Missions, GFX to total conversions, so for $15 bucks is a total bargain if you askme, what you need is "GAME OF THE YEAR" version because everybody have it, now for the online question there are a few online servers but is a pain in the ass to join them because they are running their specific mods if you decide to get the game let me know so we can play a few CO-OP stock missions.

I don't think so PS3 = Blueray not craked yet xbox= craked but MS take cares of business =hammer ban I'm not saying is going to happen but I don't think is going to happen this or next gen I'm so sad that PC is so cripple nowdays and actually is not worth the trouble
