ogre_h
I've been working on this project on and off since I released Desert Tigers. There's still a ways to go, but I figured I show you guys a specialist or two. It'll probably come out after WSV is wrapped up. The models come from the genius of Snowfella, of course. ogre_h
Ok, here's a specialist in progress. I really love this camo pattern. It was a pain to make, but looks awesome. I'm probably going to make the Beret a deeper maroon, and maybe work on the vest a bit more. Edited February 5, 2004 by ogre_h

SnowFella
nice work as always ogre! Looking forward to seeing the character I just sent over in your camo! And Patriot, just you wait untill I get the Astra model I have been working on to and from for nearly a month ready. Lets just say BDU's, vests and such are but a faded memory
ogre_h
Here's the chr Snowfella just did! "But it looks like the other one!" you say. And you'd be right sort of. I used the Marine Demo character for the basis of the character, but it seems that while the texture for the character showed all the demo pouches and accessories, the model released with the game didn't have them built in. As I understand it, its basically the Marine Infantry model. So I ran to Snowfella for help Snowfella that he is quickly, attacked the problem and came up with a new model! SnowFella
Looking good ogre! And I have to say it did suprise me when I opened op that character in 3dsm to find him missing the demobag, kneepads and several other pouches on his vest, plus having a bump for a radio microphone when his skin doesn't have a mike! Found out that the character model for marine_demolition was indeed identical to marine_rifleman, looks like the dev team might just of screwed up somewhat and included the wrong character Easily fixed with alittle frankenstein work though
ogre_h
Thanks! Does anyone know where I can find the Ghost Recon Fonts?
deleyt
If you mean the original font-graphics then simply go into: Ghost Recon/Data/Shell and open new_font_revised.rsb That's the characterset that's used in the game itself.
deleyt
I just remembered what the name of the hi-res font is called: Denmark That's the one they used as a reference for the Ghost Recon Ingame font.
ogre_h
Thanks Didn't they have some downloads to set up fan web pages etc? Nevermind I found the Denmark font Edited February 6, 2004 by ogre_h

Suicide Commando
I like the new skin ogre. The only thing I noticed on your skins is that the black pouches and holsters you use are really dark. Can't really see any details at all. Other than that
ogre_h
Hmm, I kinda liked the darker look. I am changing some pouches and holsters around so we'll see what happens.

Whisper_44
Nice work on that last one ogre_h, I like those desert patterns a great deal. Care to share your camo pattern source? I need some new skins
ogre_h
Well the Marpat desert and green are based on Wildcat's work. There was nothing better out there, and I looked. I still had to tweak 'em a bit to get what I needed though. Here are some sites I've looked through http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/~bunten4/Warsaw%20camo.htm http://www.worldcamo.com/main.htm http://www.geocities.com/canuck_infantry/Links.html Pvt. Pyles is the best, but his main page is down. If you dig around you can find his other pages still up. Usually I'll have to do a lot of work on the samples or strip them off uniforms etc. They're not really posted with us in mind. There are also sporting goods and commercial sites that have some nice patterns.

Gen.Montgomery
Hows about an operative in urban tiger stripe with just a black balaclava, black gloves? Somewhat SWAT looking. Just a suggestion.
ogre_h
Hmm...something like this? Edited February 17, 2004 by ogre_h
Gen.Montgomery
Try removing the PASGT helmet. Just plain black balaclava with tactical goggles on the forehead. Plus, an all black tactical vest. Something like this---> sample <-- under Collectors Corner/Collectors Corner Part 1, its under military morons. The pic above the kneeling delta.
