IMO your Review is Outstanding!

1st, it's comprehensive. No way can a review do justice to a new game unless all areas of graphics, controls, game design, ai behaviours, etc. are covered along with all modes of gameplay. You've done an excellent job here!

2nd, all conclusions & consequently your final scores are well-supported by factual in-game observations & seem quite fair.

3rd, it's obvious you played the game with an eye to trying to evaluate it from the possible perspectives of the "any man / any woman" player's experiences rather than just from your own preferences / skill levels, e.g., you cover how differences in people's rigs may impact gameplay, likewise how a player's preferred type of gameplay, playing style, mainly into SP or Coop, etc. may affect their satisfaction with GRAW. This was really good.

All in all, yours is the best commentary I've read on GRAW xbox. You got "cut" I see over on the other forum for "no pics" which I thought rather silly. Analyses not pics make a review IMHO!

Thanks for taking the time.

(Biggest laugh is I'm not a console gamer - just looked at the review for a quick bit of fun/knowledge & ended up reading it through & being really impressed.)

Very good review. I have to agree with the SP AI but as the MP side of the game is what I got it for I truly agree that the server customization is a great improvement.

The limited maps for MP is a shame as well as (IMO) their small size. Hopefully we will get more chapters for the coop missions and additional maps in the near future.

You didn't touch on audio too much but with a surround sound system I have heard enemies coming from behind or flanking me and been able to respond in time to either relocate or get in a defensive postion. And the gun sounds are great. I play with a regular group and most have a favorite weapon they use and I am able to tell identify them by the gunfire - very cool.

I am glad RSE did not waste resources trying to dvelop an in game clan ladder as the systems in GR2 and SS were pathetic at best. But it would be nice to be able to join a ranked game with a group of friends without gaming the system ;) - somethign along the "party" system in Halo would be greatly appreciated and add to the MP aspect of the game.

One thing that I am wondering is how long it will be before we see purely SP and MP versions of GR? Already different developers are being used for the 2 aspects of the game and obviously the online functionality will probably never be able to support the same graphics as the SP can. Some controls that make sense in SP don't have a place in MP and vice versa. In GRAW the maps (from what I understand) developed for SP can not be used for MP. As the SP campaign is of interest to me primarily as training for MP (learnign controls, playing with weapons etc) I would be willing to forego the SP game and have a solely MP based version of GR.

Anyways - great review. Nicely presented from a players perspective and it always nice to know the reviewers background.

Thanks for the effort.

:) Very comprehensive review that seemed to focus alot on what the true GR fan is looking for.

It is truely helpful to read a critical review that doesn't drip with "fanboyism", but rather lays it all out on the table and lets the reader decide if the title is right for them.

Unfortunately, it appears that the teamxbox forum crowd is a bit immature for such a detailed review. The responses from that community were ridiculous at best, and I'm willing to bet that 98% did not even read the whole review.

From a hardcore GR1 fan, thank you for your complete review. I feel as if I've had some hands-on time with the title now even though I haven't. You have more than exceeded your job as a reviewer.

Please let us know when your future reviews come out.
