wombat50
Logs don't give any clues but this is not unusual. DxDiag link is not working. Missing ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb and lighthalo_effect3.rsb files show in every ike.log and is not the cause. Are you installing with disc set or Steam? Windows 10 is the operating system? wombat50
DxDiag indicates your computer will run GR easily. Not familiar with using Daemon Tools to mount an image of the game. If the image is made from a disc set that could be the problem. From my experience, using a disc set to install GR using Win 7 or 10 does not work. These newer operating systems don't handle the DRM on the disc sets correctly. The Steam version of GR does not have any issues. Sirio
But previously I was using GR insatlled from the same iso on Win 10 on another PC (less powerful than the actual) and everything was functioning well.

Eisenhauer
maybe this helps Close Ghost Recon Open the options.xml file with a text editor in the Ghost Recon directory if the user account control is activated, the files are here "C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Red Storm Entertainment/Ghost Recon" Windows copies the files into this folder to protect the original ones To view the files, go to Windows Explorer to change folders and search options. Check hidden files, folders and drives view <ShowIntro>FALSE</ShowIntro> <ZBufferBits>32</ZBufferBits> <FullScreen>TRUE</FullScreen> <VideoResolution Width = "1920" Height = "1080" BitDepth = "32"/>
Sirio
Unfortunatly I can't start a match or a campaign (I can reach the main menu, but when I try to create e new mission, the game stops working before starting the mission), so it doesn't create the option file ... Jack Wachter
What drive is it installed on? I had issues with my OGR when I had it on my HDD and not the SSD with the operating system
wombat50
Here is the options.xml from my game. It goes in the main Ghost Recon Folder. No guarantee it will help but worth a try. If it does work you can edit the settings to your liking in the Options menu. options.xml
Eisenhauer
should it run then make you a backup of the Ghost Recon directory ! I have a backup from the year 2004 and it runs on all systems (XP, Vista, 7,8,10, Linux) without problems whether from an external USB or system disk. Jack Wachter
I have an ASUS laptop and looking at the log above, you have OGR installed on your D drive. Uninstall it from there and install it onto the C drive. That fixed issues for me.

Sirio
I've found the problem ... eureka ... it's an incompatibility with Sonic Studio, the software that manages audio for gaming ... I've tuned it off and the game funcions well Thank you for your support 1
