Riley:

Cpl_Tunnel, -=MAYOR=-(IIRC) and myself just finished up a little slaughter. :o=

But it was not us who were doing the slaughtering  at least not at the end. Earlier we did a wicked night mission on the dock thing area though. No friendly losses; you would think we pros! :shifty:

Sounds great! The more, the merrier!

One more thing: We have 2 Mumble voice communication servers available, 1 in North America and 1 in Europe, with 30 slots each. I haven't got around setting them up just yet and frankly don't have a clue. Anyone with experience and willingness to help out, please raise your hand.

Hey Apex, is Frostbite a permanent fixture here? I think it will cut down on players because of the effort it takes to download and join that big thing. I mean, like the guys who just jumped on with us from Xfire, they might not be able to join if Frostbite is required seeing as they don't know about ghostrecon.net.

See you on the battlefield!

I hope people will be fine with running different mods now and then. Nothing is a permanent fixture, we do want to offer some variety. With about 1,000 mods available for Ghost Recon it would be quite a shame not to.

AND WHO THE HECK DOESN'T KNOW GR.NET?!? :o

Oops, nope it's supposed to be Frostbite v1.3, sorry.

Oh and Riley, please refrain from posting comments in the server announcements thread - see OP:

If you have a dedicated server that hasn't made the news page post them here.

All other posts in this thread (other than IP's) will be deleted.

Thanks.

Yea, I have not played frostbite either. Nor have I played heroes unleashed and many others. I have pretty limited and expensive bandwidth where I am. Though it sounds like my connection is just slightly better than Riley's. :P

Welll... 237MB.. :/ I guess. This is not going to happen frequently, I mean it. Already more than a day's bandwidth alone :\

that depends what other people would like. you do not have to but I am prepared for it being used in the future at least.

Perhaps once things get settled in start doing, say, one big mod a month or something. give people time to try all the guns and poke around the maps.

The chaps and I use mumble and have done for about 2 years because the quality is is far better than ventrilo (which is what we used to use). We don't host our server ourselves though, we use multiplay for the excellent price and service they provide but if you have a specific problem getting it all set up I might be able to help
