Suggestions For "if Possible" - Update Of Brettzies Wp

So its been awhile since Brettzies had released his big weapon pack which was wp 1.4 ( i know there like 1.45 but those are changes for mp and other small changes) when he released new optics, weapons and the big change in the character looks. I still play GRAW 2 till this day because im still in love with that wp brettzies had released. That's probably one of the reasons why i still play GRAW 2 and all other mods that have kept this game alive.

But

Since its been awhile since the last huge wp came in, i thought maybe i could throw some idea's down if Brettzies ever thinks about maybe doing an update. It probably might not happen because at one point we all phase out of are game time - but still, i feel like throwing some ideas out xD

More optics ....

-Elcan SpecterDR (recently added to the SOPMOD block)

-Eotech 3x magnifer (can be put behind the eotech in the weapon pack)

-Aimpoint 3x magnifer(can be put behind the aimpoint in the weapon pack)

-Acog Reflex ( for cqb situation and also part of SOPMOD block)

-change default stock on M4A1 to crane stock(part of sopmod block)

-change SPR (mk 12 mod 0) stock to magpul's PRS(precision rifle/sniper) stock

-add surfire M900a vertical forgrip as second front grip mod

-update current M468 from wp to REC7

Now the round and mechanics haven't really changed, but if you look between the original and updated version, you can see a slight different in the rail system. The REC-7 seems to be more flat and less "bulky' then the original ARM's R.I.S. rail system

-Update weapon sounds

-Change camo and color of equipment to be more modern militarized (ACU camo with tan or khaki equipment - i see alot of SF soldiers like that)

-Add more sights on to the M14 and *IF POSSIBLE, change the M14 to M14 EBR

So again i just wanted to throw some idea's down cause i felt like it and want to see if its possible or not xD if you got more idea's please post them but something like more weapons would kinda be hard and might not be possible cause i think there's already enough weapons - but if you still feel like it put them down !

Those are some interesting suggestions. I like the new REC7/M468. Used it in Vegas2 and it was pretty cool. None of your suggestions are all that complicated, I just haven't been doing any updates really. Been busy with other things. One problem though, attachments are maxed in my mod, so nothing new would work in MP - not that I think many are playing, but it's still annoying.

Last update I did was actually for GRAW1, optimized scopes to work with risers and take a few duplicates out to make it all work within the 31 id limit. I could do that with GRAW2, but I just haven't had the desire or inspiration lately. Plus, there just aren't many playing and even though I do it more for my own entertainment, it's always encouraging to see people interested.

It's kind of a shame, because GRAW is almost perfect for weapon modders. Aside from the animation problem and id # limit for attachments you have a very robust modular system.

I also like the New looks of the REC-7 cause it seems more sleek and clean, not as bulky as the first gen. I also use the M468 in vegas 2, but the game itself does not seem to be realistic so alot of people complain about how most of the weapon's are as realistic .... Now i don't know if many people play MP so i kinda suggested the idea's for SP - but maybe if people still do maybe a MP version can be done, but the mods would have to be limited though =| which might make ppl upset.

And yea it's true. It would suck if you released a mod and nobody really complemented it ..... i probably would think it was a waste of time. But there's probably still people playing GRAW 2 out there. maybe they just haven't been able to get there word out so other people could here so ...

But again, its not always bad to try something out and see what happens. Who knows, maybe now nobody really mentions about playing GRAW 2 or 1, but once you release a mod, and the word goes out, the game will be back running up xD

I would really really really love to see a 1911 pistol in the next release. I know snowfella has one and its really nice but I love the M468 and M16A4s of brettzies mod. I think I really nice Colt like the Special Combat Government or a Series 80 Combat Elite. Or even a Kimber.

Just my take, I hope it gets some consideration.

You realise that's easily doable. Hell I combined Brettzies mod with the pistol from the M-4 SOPMOD mod and the AK-47 mod.

even if you can add both mods into one, most people don't like having to change or add files or anything complex. Most people would like to just drag and drop into there English folder.

a M1911 would hurt i guess. Does shoot a bigger caliber then the 9mm. Even though there is no difference, the MEU(SOC) pistol which is a force recon version of the M1911 would be nice xD

What I'd absolutely love is something like an M4A1 with a 10.5 in barrel or a SG 551 with an RIS handguard

Hey just wanted to update this and put down some more thoughts i had :D

-variety of different stocks (full stock, colt stock, crane stock, magpul stocks's)

-different magazines (one's with 30, 20, 10 and maybe extended mags)

-an peq 2 that can be used at night (inferred beam can be seen with nightvision)

-add camo to weapons

-add a Mk 48 mod 0 (bigger brother to Mk 46 mod 0)

just noticed these idea's are not really needed or aren't possible or are just lame lol

for example

LWRC IAR isn't necessary

a 50.cal beowolf - maybe if your shooting to 200m max

cqb rifle - not really needed when your in such a open world area

and colt M5

well you won't see the effects of having the same 5.56 round but with with a gas piston system

And just wondering has modding GRAW 2 kinda dead now ? cause it seems like nobody really bother's talking about this game anymore which i still love LOL

I's on life support...trying to keep it at least ticking over...have you seen the wiki?

Well it seems like it's life support is running out faster then it seems. Something big's gonna have to kick in for GRAW 2 to get it back on its feet lol. Just had it when good modable games like GRAW 2 just die out >=(

and if your talking about the the co-op wiki for GRAW 2. Yes i did check it out and yes its pretty cool - but i should tell you, i only use mods and play with em :)

all you have to combine is the lib/managers/xml/weapons_data.xml and mod_data.xml and make sure you correspond the weapon and mod id's together. ( the numbers)

And then combine the strings.xml

Just add all the the different strings from xml to the other.

For the units, textures, and objects files just simply drop them into the same folder.
