KRP 56
Good to hear this project is about to wrap up. Looking forward to it.
Snake@War
The specialist's helmets could use a little something. Either plastic texture or shining or anything. It's just flat.
blakarion.
Just tested the 4 miss completed so far over our LAN w/end, and really enjoyed what I played. A few more minor tweaks to the current missions and only 2 (or 3 ) more to go for the Mod to be released As for the Pickups in the pics, Glass texture hadntbeen put into the right folder be Reiver, and the bodywork is meant to look old and distressed (they are wrecks) - maybe a bit of Rust streaking to get the message across ??? blakarion.
Ive tried to use the best "distressed pickup" texture I could find thats in GR - maybe I need to search a bit more LOL
dannyboy233
Just a question, for this mod when its released, do u need just ghost recon, or desert seige and island thunder expansion packs as well? thanks in advance!
Giampi
Both of them, 100% sure!
dannyboy233
damn...i've only got ghost recon. Time to go hunt for Island thunder and desert seige at the shop meh thinks!
GRT
What about something like this blak, if not that i have some that have more "color" on them. This is actually in 1024x1024 but photobucket sized it down cause of size.
blakarion.
The problem is that Im trying to use standard GR textures to keep the size of Reiver's mod down. I know I had a quick look through and may have missed a standard texture that may be beeter suited - if so could you point me in the right direction

blakarion.
I believe you will need all three (GR orig, DS, IT and 1.4 patch) to play this Mod. Im just trying tokeep down the Mod size by not using any extra texture files not appearing in those three.
Giampi
Sure you need all the 2 packs since Reiver is using maps for both packs
blakarion.
Unfortunatly Reiver's eyesight is not improving, and he feels he is unable to continue work on this mod. He's asked if I wish to finish off the last mission's and then release it, which I'm happy to do. So expect more updates when I return from my time away (3-4 weeks), and hopefully Reivers eyesight will be returned to a good enough condition where he can himself release TFR ! Giampi
I can't be happy about this news, the sadness for Reiver's eyes problems is greater than the happiness to see this mod released by Blakarion
SIX
What ever happend to Task Force Ranger? I have been out of the mix for a while. An update would help. Thanks
blakarion.
TFR was dropped by Reiver due to ill health, and now resides on my HD. Ive got too many other projects to even start thinking about finishing it off (its about 60-70% complete) so will stay there for a while longe yet - sorry m8
Reiver
If anyone is still interested i'm gonna have a go at trying to finish this mod off over Xmas, i've thought long and hard about this mod and have decided that i have put too much time into this mod just to let ot drop. So as of this morning GR went back on the PC and i'm suddenly staring blankly at IGOR going how the ###### does this work again lol (no change there then) Basically the state of the mod is missiosn 1-4 are done with a few tweaks to mission 4 required, missions 5 and 6 have the bones of the script there ie objectives, triggers cinematics etc so just need to script the OpFor in both missions and play test, all kits, specialists etc are all done as well, just needs a bit of spit and polish. will keep people posted on progress. Thanks for the support messages folks, and thnaks for getting me back on this project again. Reiver
SIX
I just wish I had time to help or beta for you. I am a truck driver so I only have about three days per week and I have to do work on my truck, squeeze the family in and try that thing called sleep - anybody seen that before? Anyway, I sure am looking forward to this. What a great mod and concept. Reiver, may God bless your eyes and hands

Giampi
Yes man, status? PS: I hope the year 2006 will bring good news for your sight. Don't care about the mod if your eyes are not ok and I believe I'm speaking for everyone
blakarion.
Speaking for Reiver again, the operation turned out to help so hes now able to change his default Font size from 200+ down to normal, and is back to enjoying his PC time rather than being fustrated As for the Mod, well I believe some work had been done on it over Xmas, however the demands of his job (and the call of WoW) have reduced his Modding time to very little but maybe he can still produce the goods (this year)
