  1. I'm looking for players for co-op, I'm not very good at PVP. Either way, my uplay is Jaedrian01.
  2. It works for me on 1.35. It overwrit the other mods I had, but worked just fine.
  3. These are the kinds of posts that keep people from trying their hand at modding. What you don't understand is that before the editors came out or some of the support that Grin has since released, their were people trying to learn the code of the game to begin modding without the support of Grin. Some of these efforts may seem like simple xml tweaking to you, which it may be, but it offered glimpses to what could be accomplished when all the tools could be made available. So please, in the future, if you find something boring or not to your liking, don't post something hateful and non-supportive. Eric-J along with all the others that contribute work put something out for our enjoyment and many have enjoyed that work. I'm sure others will appreciate what you bring, but I doubt you will have people posting comments about the problems your work have in such a derogatory manner.
  4. I use windows Vista, the business version 32 bit version and GRAW and the texture fix worked fine for me. The only problems I had were that I couldn't find the profile folders for a few days, there are visible now, and I cant find the settings file for the textures so I can turn on high res textures on my 256mb card. So I'm not sure it's a Vista only problem.
  5. Copying and renaming the file as you specified fixed the problem for me. At first, I didn't think it was a problem. When I was in the Army, some of M16's had different colors on them anyway. But after reading the problem and then following your directions, bam, proper texture and it looks great. I played a map with iron sights just to see them. The M16 iron sight is off, program limitations i know, but it still works. Anyway, thanks for fixing a problem I didn't know I had.
  6. The question has been answered, but to be fair, both mods are very nice though. But I do agree, the new mod offers three rifles which are all very wonderful. The first mod came with a pistol that was great and the option to add flashlights to the rifle and pistol and a red dot laser system to the rifle. However, I think people will use the newest addon as it has active develoment and more weapons. I would say try them both as they are both wonderful. I currently use the new addon with the Task Force Wraith skins and love the game all over again.
  7. Wow, this is a wonderful new weapon you added. For the maps i've played, I've had no problem taking people out with one hit, other than my poor aiming<grin>. Outstanding work, thank you to everyone involved in putting this out. I'm sure you need a break from all the work in this one, but I am anxious to see what else you have plans for. Thank you and good luck.
  8. I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you are doing. Your weapons are the only reason I started playing again. I hope that the community continues to support you. There was another quality modder that was alienated by immature posters and he stopped working on his mods. I hope the same doesn't happen to you. Thank you again. BTW, I really love the introduction movies you make, those really set your mod out to be topnotch.
  9. This is looking very nice. I don't have any suggestions, it looks topnotch. Now, something i dont think would work as the textures are shared i think is to maybe put a rip in the clothes. I know there were times that I would cross concertina wire or trip over my own two feet and sometimes get a rip in the knee or leg. That way, you have something to show for when they are shot. I know you cant make it dynamic to reflect getting shot, you would always see the rip, but somekind of advanced wear on the clothing. Hmm, i guess dirty is good enough. Anyway, very nice looking.
  10. Thank you again, these look great in game. Just got done showing a friend and they are wonderful. Nice seeing myself running around. I have to be extra careful to keep him out of the line of fire. Long live the Dog Face Soldiers.
  11. All I can say i wow. Thanks for the quick skin. The name is spelled wrong though, AJEDRIAN. Not that I'm complaining, oh no. The upside V is perfect. To this day I still don't know what that was for. Ill tell you an off topic story real fast. When I was in Somalia, I was asked what it stood for. I told them that the V was for Victory, we were the Victory Division. They asked me why it was upside down. I told them that way aircraft flying over head would see the V upright and know we were friendly. Well, I thought it was funny at the time. Its also a coincidence I'm on the sniper, I was chosen as the squad sniper during our Somalia deployment. As a Combat Engineer, we were given the Barrett .50 Cal. sniper rifle. They told us it was an anti-material rifle, meant to shoot mines as a safe distance. Let me tell you, you can shoot things at a very safe distance with that one. The sad part is, I was made sniper because I scored highest at the shooting range out of my squad with a 34. Expert is 36 out of 40, I only got sharpshooter. That's bad for those keeping score. Good thing it had a scope. Anyway, back on topic. Chocolate Chip pattern looks great. The patch is great, forgot that it came in flavors. I remember wearing that on my class A uniform. Top notch work, i'm downloading now. Thanks for the memories. Sapper out.
  12. I started and ended in the 317th Engr Bn Cbt Heavy Mech. I joined the unit just after their return from Desert Storm(the first one) and was with them through deployments to Somalia and Saudi Arabia. And my recruiter said I would never travel. Anyway, this has been a great get together so to speak. Just seeing the patch had me singing "I'm just a Dog Face soldier, with a rifle on my shoulder, and I eat raw meat for breakfast everyday. So feed me ammunition, Keep me in the third division" or something like that. Great download, now I just need someday to have the 24th ID with the upside V on the helmet and Ill be in reminiscent heaven. Thanks.
  13. I never thought I would ever see the "broken television" in a skin mod. I was in the 3rd just after the 24th ID was deactivated and turned into the 3rd. Brings back memories of standing in morning PT formation while all of Kelley Hill at Fort Benning sang the Dog Face Soldier song while it blared over the speakers. Thanks, this would be fun to have if only for the memories.
  14. This is very interesting work. I never thought before that the ghosts should be dirty. It makes sense though. Looking back, the only time my BDUs looked pristine was when i got them from the cleaners for the first time with patches sewn on and pressed for the first time. After spending any time in the field putting up wire or doing a bangalore drill, you were pretty much dirty from then on. Great idea, if that was combined with the weave on the clothes, that would be a spot on clothing mod. Keep up the great work.
  15. This is a great skin, i can't wait to see the finished product. My only suggestion is to remind people to check that the installer path is also going to the correct hard drive. I'm not very observant and it took me a few installs to realize the installer did not select the drive my copy is installed on. Once I got that figured out though, I love the ACU skin. Thanks for the hard work.
  16. yes, i would like to try this skin out very much. It looks great.
  17. What I did to install the mod is unpack the file to my C drive. I then went into the extracted file and copied the local folder and contents to my main GRAW directory. You do NOT have to unbundle anything. The local folder contains all the files required to run the mod. The only problem I have is running the game in 800x600 is that the weapon options cover the equip button making it tough to select the items I want. I can do it, just a little tough. Again, this is a great mod. Worth the download as it requires no unbundling or anything to work. It also works just fine with patch 1.6.
  18. First, I just want to say this is a great addition to the game. Thanks for the great mod, I am really enjoying this. Second, I also could not get the install to work as the readme states. I extracted to my C root but I still had to copy the local folder over. No big deal. Third, I am still able to pick up clips from enemy soldiers. Is this a bug or the game text only says 6.8mm but still actually uses the 5.56mm?? Again, this is great and just added some replay value to the game for me. And at the ranges that I can zoom in to now, accuracy really matters. I'm leaving the grenade launcher off from now on
  19. Where is the file for this for me to modify?? I've looked but must be blind because I can't find it. I really want to try the 3rd person view, I really like it in GR2 and would love it for GRAW. Thanks.
