UKSF Mod

With the mod round up on its way, I thought I ought to start a thread about the mod with a bit more detail.

The mod is based on UKSF, so we have SAS, SBS, SFSG and SRR operators both as playable and NPC characters. The mod inintailly started life as a way of combining two of my favourite mods, 22nd SAS mod by El Patricio and Pyro Monty, and C$K Commando's by Spydier. I picked out my favourite models, modified the skins (some a little, some beyond all recogintion), added all new faces and added a few attachments from here and there.

Then I added a few more models from the likes of Snowfella, Bajabravo and Argyll and re-skinned them as well. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I didn't know when to stop so I'm now trying to put together a potentially huge mod with 14 reg chrs (for each environment), over 60 specialist skins (Each chr has woodland, desert and jungle gear in plain clothes, ghillie suits and CQB gear plus night ops and possibly Arctic gear),and new NPC and enemy chrs. We have modified maps (I've desertized a version of the December map by Sleeper and Blue Ivan by Phlookian),

weapons and rets courtesy of the SWEBAT team, Natswana and other (TBC) - Commando Crazy is the man in charge of sorting this out! Vehicles come courtesy of Chems, Dugite and possibly Cobaka.

There is a central campaign set in Afghanistan, scripted by Trenchsoldier and possibly some spin-off missions around the globe.

Oh and new menu screens etc.

And the latest news is that Argyll will (time permitting) act as military consultant ensuring we don't stray too far into the realms of fantasy. Interestingly enough this mod started life several years ago, long before the current increase in troubles in Afghanistan and some of the themes that the campaign hopes to visit have proven themselves to very close to real life (Trenchsoldier is nothing if not thorough in his research!).

Hi,

chrs are now almost complete (but i keep on making minor adjustments here and there and keep adding new NPC's that may or may not ever get used). Natswana and CC are busy putting together the weapons (mostly new!) and Mig is looking at the missions.

As the campaign is causing the most problems I'm tempted to relaese the mod as chrs/weapons only and add the campaign at a later date.

Thoughts anyone?

wellits always nice to get a new mod complete with missions :) but if its gonna push the ETA to far i would settel for a skin and equipment mod and add the missions later :shifty: But thats just my thoughts and i have alway liked mods more for the skins and equipment than the missions :whistle:

I agree and disagree with Hammer :huh:

I'm more interested in mission than equipment mod but I would prefer always to have the equipment mod only if missions and othe stuffs are going to delay the release maybe till the drop of the mod :(

That's what we hope to avoid. BTW guys, there is a call for script writers, please PM me instead of CMH regarding this though.
