Need help getting custom models in-game

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I recently wanted to work on my own total conversion mod for Ghost Recon, so this includes custom character and weapon models. I found this website and through the main tutorials page tried to find tutorials for character modelling and almost did... but all the links and resources are broken and have not been updated. Is there any more updated and to-date tutorials I can use to get custom character models in the game? I'm already familiar with 3DS MAX (2017) but just need the import and export plug-ins and how to get the models in-game. If anyone could personally assist me in modding the game and helping me to create a total conversion (quite like a new expansion pack for the game) that would be fantastic :)

IF you point me to the broken links you refer to I will see about fixing them - that would be a good start :)

Btw where are the GR1 modding tutorials, I think they should be here - http://www.ghostrecon.net/faqs/index.php?action=show&cat=3 , or have they been moved to another link ?

Pretty much all the links here don't go anywhere, which are the most important since im trying to add new character models.

That's the future soldier section you are in, the GR section is at http://www.ghostrecon.net/faqs/index.php?sid=348146&lang=en&action=show&cat=6

But I think you are remembering the recon section, not the FAQ. Modding Recon is here > http://www.ghostrecon.net/html/recon.htm#mods

Absolutely, http://www.ghostrecon.net/html/recon.htm#mods is the one.

Wow, yeh that is an very old article, 2003, making it 15 years old!

Okay let's see what we can do here.

For, Ghost Recon Model Pack by Piggyson please try this and let me know if you think it's the correct file. I have also reached out to Piggyson, let's wait and see if I get a response!

Or try this page - is it any of these files? http://www.woody2000.com/download.php?list.22

It is frustrating that back in 2003 I never thought to start mirroring these files. I only started doing that years later.
