rossiski
We've been using ArmA lately for our coop and I have to say I'm very impressed. I believe this is the future for our group. Honestly, the first time I was a passenger on a "little bird" heading into battle was awesome...seeing those miles and miles of landscape roll beneath me. The realism is very addicting and I think I'm hooked. Also, I can't imagine gaming without vehicles now. How did I ever live without an M1A1 Abrams? Sheesh! Additionally, the ballistics are something that increases the level of realism. Knowing that you have to compensate for elevation really makes this more "real" to me. To those who are on the fence with the direction GR is taking, I highly suggest ArmA. It is an outstanding experience.
buttercupp
My better half and I enjoyed the demo, but were playing with an ATI 9800. Little squares everywhere, lol. Now that we have an nVidia 8800GTS, it looks a million times better, not to mention the realism factor that's there. Need to pick up a copy finally! NoQuarter
Ballistics and extended draw distances. How novel in a FPS these days. Highly recommended
Noraf
well, if you got the hardware for it, run it with a 10k view distance, get a chopper, and go for a spin only a few things that i miss from this game, mainly an lst ( or simmilar ), a few tunnels, more entrable buildings, caves and basements ( subways too?) though, i'm sure quite a few of thise will be moddeed in in the not so distant future. The coop possibilities in this game are just awsome, and, if the server you're on supports it, try using the voip, aftherall, it got several channels ( all\side\group\vihecle (sp?) and direct ), lip syncronisation (!!) and uses less cpu than having to run an extra voip program in the back ground ( the games voip runs no mather what )

squad_e
Aye, it is good for Co-oP But most excellent for "hold" type games, my T-72 and M1A1 is guarranteed to kill and get me A-B no problemo.... Tanks dont blow up straight away, so you get enough time to bail out when your red..

You'll also get the added bonus of the following hobbies: shooting sports, snowboarding and Saturday tequila benders. Arma is now on my Amazon wish list...hint hint, hubby.
