Asking if you should buy GR after stating that you like gaming, is like asking if you should breath. This is an awesome game with a great commuinity of gamers to rub elbows with. And the amazing modders keep the game fresh. Theres always a new mod arriving that takes the game to another level. (i.e. Frostbite.) But after you run, dont walk, to get it now that its cheap and convenient to get all three at once, if your gonna play MP, your probably gonna need dagrm4.8 as well, as most of the servers on UBI require it. Firewall was included with the 2003 version. Do i really want to turn off the firewall, i have the proper ports open for GR, what would keep someone from doing bad things to my system while im playing? Didnt have any problems until i upgraded from 2002 version. Am able to play EA Sports games on line, just not GR. Have no router, just a cable modem. Thanks, i appreciate your help. Im trying everything you suggest so keep it up.

The XP firewall was up turned itoff, still cant join. The system consists of XP, p4 1.9, 768mb rdram, ati rage 8500 126mb video card, sound blaster pro, dell 8200 dimension, all drivers up-to date, direct x 9.0. is that enough?

Installed NSW2003, can host ip games, cant join or host on ubi, or any other servers, any ideas? Please, UBI has no idea, Symantec has no idea. PLEASE HELP.

Props to the Frostbite Mod Team. Unbelievable. You guys keep up the good work. You keep outdoing yourselves. But this one will be hard to top. Congrats.

How about letting the players choose their own kits on load outs. The option to take grenades,sensors,AT,etc.. It would be nice. Grenades should be standard with every kit. The GHOSTS wear web gear already. And how about some smoke grenades to pop. Would be a nice touch. But I understand that its hard to improve an already great game. I only hope that they dont do anything to take the modders out of the mix. Red Storm would be wise to check with alot of the modders on this website to get their input on the next masterpiece.

I assume that we are discussing the IG Downtown Mod? Its pretty great and would be an awesome multi-player map. A buddy and i both downloaded and played it, but we cant play it on line. When we get to the downloading data from server screen, it tells us that we dont have the mod installed at all. Anyone have any idea why? We played it offline, just cant play it online. Thanks
