  1. Too bad they have to stay covered like that. Perhaps one day this will change.
  2. I believe a new Direct X update has come out 2 days ago.
  3. well that was just a little too much for some of the younger viewers out there. May have to check-out The Bush Game fer yourself: Post deleted
  4. Blew my right hand off with an M-80.... Now I'm killing tangos with a prosthesis.
  5. Personally, I'm tired of getting shot through concrete corners and steel walls. Also how a tango jumps out and shoots me from the-hip in one shot or from the side of his barrel. Everyone knows the deal here. If they can get this hashed-out.....thats what i'm looking for.
  6. LMAO..now thats some funny stuff.
  7. But remember this new card is a "Abit- GeForce Card,"same as the mobo". Got to be careful cause you want it to fit in properly. The 5700 is much longer in length and just misses the Ram-clips when it's installed.
  8. Well i've used GeForce stuff since day-one. I upgraded from a GeForce FX 5200 to a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra and I have to say......Lookin Good Indeed!!! AMD Athlon XP +3200 "Barton" Abit NF7-S V 2.0 Mainboard WD Raptor HD @ 10,000 rpm Kingston PC 3200 1-GB Geforce FX 5700 Ultra Sounblaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Thermaltake Xaser III Case 480 watt PSU
  9. ...a GR Player can read all the material he wants about tactics. You just need to put hours in. CQB scenarios are all different. As soon as I get ready to enter a building or house, I'll pull up my quick-map. Mine is programed on left 'ctrl'. You need to be able to pull that overhead view up and glance at it within seconds. Teammates may allready be entering through another door or entry way. Whether or not one survives a CQB situation, a "Team Kill" is what to avoid here. Get used to checking your Quick-Map frequently on most any map layout. In some situations I'll check mine every few seconds. This will greatly reduce TKs'. After hundreds and hundreds of hours playing GR, I still see TKs' "even with the most refined players. I had a few this week- surrounded by the fact that I was unaware of Team positions on map at that time. In closing, looking -down at the keyboard is smthing that we all do from time to time. It just takes a split-second of looking away to turn you into an observer. Heck, I can still remember my first online game....it was on UBI. After I finally discovered how to join a game, selected a kit and right during the spawn-in..."adrenalin pumping", I capped all my mates. Well wasn't seconds after that that they Booted my A** outta there. ......"that was my debut at online GR~~~~
  10. When I built this tower, it has an Abit NF7-S V.2.0 mainboard and it rocks. Will hold up to 3 GiG Ram as well.
  11. I purchased this Viewsonic CRT monitor model G810b "black and it's extremely nice.... 21" screen
  12. ..................................figures....d***** corp-decision making...."fire-em all /re-hire nobody.
  13. ....this is the Mainboard i selected to run with an AMD +3200 "Barton" AMD Athlon XP +3200 "Barton" Abit NF7-S V 2.0 Mainboard WD Raptor HD @ 10,000 rpm Kingston PC 3200 1-GB Geforce FX Graphics Sounblaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Thermaltake Xaser III Case 480 watt PSU http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/produc...ories=1&model=6
  14. Yep, I had a problem with this new WD SATA 10,000rpm jobbie that had the jumper setting from the factory set as something besides Master. I just ended up following a diagram that Seagate had on there 4 pin connections. After I had picked through the BIOS for hours and checking everything else "even thinkin the HD was toast from the get-go, I finally found the correct jumper setting...... another simple job made difficult "i'm so good at that.

lol...almost Like Dillinger who composed a gun out of a bar of soap....
  16. well, I'm still using this existing NEC Multisync 95 19" inch'er that I bought some 4 years ago......lol ~ As i've never actually used a flat screen for gaming......i'm still waiting on a few more hits on the subject before i whip-out that Visa Card.....
  17. Now, I'm shopping for a new monitor. I'm up-grading so I'm asking for some pro-feedback on this....... Most of us play on a CRT monitor. I'm looking for a 21"-22 ". But my main question here is- how many of us have 'Flat-Screen' CRTs' and how do some of you guys feel about"em ?...... Thanks, Cruush
  18. Crimson, I bought the same case - but i'm not seeing any guides to mount the CD Rom or Hard drive. Did you get some Rail-guides in your package to mount the CD Rom and Primary HD? or did they short me some parts here...... any info. appreciated... Thanks, cruusher
  19. as I said, I've been checking out diff-types of cases for weeks online and this Xaser III IS impressive. Extremely versatile with plenty of fan locations, which was the main concern here- "ventilation". Doubtful that i'll run the entire fan capacity that it accomidates and while hydronic cooling applications are on the market, this can take up much room in the case. Not that I won't have room in here for such an application. Liquid cooling....well, lets say that we all have the same fear i think.....something breaking loose and spewing all over the hardware and your back to square-one. I'm just doing my homework. And again, the feeback i've received through these forums has been extremely helpful. Certainly I can pre-order a custom job online "made-to-order but I'll save a few hundred going this way. As for the case itself?......it's on its way as we speak
  20. I'm planning to run an AMD Athlon XP 3200 CPU with it......i was wondering if that same Power pak will make a difference with that CPU? Thanks, Cruush
  21. I've been researching PC Cases for days and days. When I read the details on this little Jewel here I was whippin-out that credit card "like yesterday" . It also looks like you could fit a variety of Mainboards in this thing. Its gonna be fun throwing good quality hardware into this beauty !!
  22. cc...all great info bros'. I'll keep you posted what I come up with. There are many greats out there. It's funny that i've racked-up hours and hours of online time, just trying to pin-down that perfect mobo...but there are a few things to consider/learnin new stuff all the time.
  23. ...just beware of the Asus K8V.......that board has issues.
