Work started on Doom 4

id software have confirmed they have started work on Doom 4 and are seeking staff interested in working on the new title:

Production has begun on DOOM 4â„¢, the next journey into the legendary DOOM universe. We are expanding our internal team and are currently hiring to work on this highly anticipated title.

I heard a rumour a while back that there will also be a new Castle Wolfenstein incarnation in the not so distant future too, aswell a new Quake incarnation (obviously DOOM IV was mentioned in this rumour, but I haven't mentioned it here because Pave already mentioned it)

One thing that DooM4 needs that DooM3 was missing is co-op (out of the box, I know about LMS :) ). I play Doom on XBL Arcade and 4 player co-op is a blast. Also, no spawning behind unless it's like the original where you open up another area behind you and demons come from there.
