Thanks for the screenshots ,  i try the 1920 x 1080 , it's not bad but i find the reticle sight a little bit enlarged and less precise than on my screen resolution . And the "display message box all " from Igor i use  in missions are always very big and with txt not centered . As i understand ,you don't use the Eisenauer Font ? I thinks that my .RES files are not good , so can you please send me the three for trial ?

I use the original strings.res file and the new_font_revised.rsb. The attached images are what I have always experienced using different resolutions. Three are of the Mission Status or Objectives box, always in the center of the screen. One is of a "Display Message Box All" which is always towards the top.

I run also G.R in 2560 x 1440 with eisenhauer font. res and a modified strings. res (for some texts in option tabs) with good result : main menus and command map are very good and readable text in black info boxes ...but the info box itself is big and the txt smallest and not centered and justified (screen capture 2). I try a fresh install on an other computer and i see the same problem ,with the standard résolution or better ! As long i play G.R , i don't remember this effect . Have you the same on your install ?
