BDA SERVER

i can join almost any server except for BDA's. i try everytime i start this game. my teammates can join it but i can't. i am not using any mods except the custom maps i got from BDA's site.

i start game

i go to multiplayer

i refresh list

i join BDA's server

i wait

and wait

and wait

i get to the black screen

i get the message "waiting on server"

i get the message "error- disconnected - unknown reason"

any ideas?

PC specs:

Pent. D 3.2

2 gig DDR2

x1900xt

3mb DSL Westell DSL modem

(don't know what else you need to know)

Not saying it is this but it could be.

Your IP may have been BANNED , don't take it the wrong way but

if your IP is BANNED you will get a disconnect before game connection completes.

You need to come onto the BDA Teamspeak and talk to Maj3stic or Breeze

and give them your current external IP

TS SERVER 208.101.8.46

If your IP is BANNED you will not be able to join TS from your machine

and will have to do this from another PC on a diffrent IP.

POST on www.beerdrinkingassasins.com forum

IF it has been BANNED they will tell you when and why....

If not then thats one other thing eliminated.

p.s. BDA run LOG and BAN and it has a list of BANNED IP's and reasons

Just to clarify Iggy,

It's been looked into and one thing is for sure, you are not running a banned IP

So sorry for that.

It's something else, will keep you up dated.

To all of you with the same problem, Iggy's problem was sorted with a Modem Reboot,

The reason why this cured the problem is beyond me at this time but, it looks like

there seems to have been an issue with maybe Gamespy and a server by server basis...

One of our members had the same issue. Apparently there isp was handing out an invalid # ending in a 255.

They could however join no servers not just one.

Tried playing on BDA server yesterday, got in after very long loadtime, played one game got booted with unable to render hud something error, Teammate on TS said i had invalid cd key error (as seen on BDA server) so there were different notes on what went wrong...... strange....

Tried joining again, again took ages to load and after a freeze at the witing for server screen....gone again. Somehow there are trouble, and I don't know where they come from. My KFORF fellows got in, but some were booted too..... i understand there is a ping between europe and the US but this is not funny anymore.

yeah i was pretty excited that i finally got in. i played for a few hours and had a blast!

problem was fixed by rebooting my modem which aquired a new ip for me. i called my isp and i have a static ip now. haven't tried again since i got the static but i'm hopin i am "perma-fixed" now!
