  1. I'm attempting to script a mission that contains extensive use of the UIROE trigger, the problem is, you only get one shot to use this during a mission. Is there a way to script a response or plan based on pressing a certain number or key? For example, if you press the number 1 you trigger a certain response; you press the number 2, you get another; you press the number 3, you get another, etc., etc. All help is appreciated... V6
  2. I notice that there are quite a few add on's as well. Is the Instructor1 disc the first step? Also, you're right, I noticed they don't ship to the U.S., so what is CTC?

  4. Since we're on the topic of cinematics, the question I have is how do you accomplish a slow fade to end the cinematic, followed by a slow fade into the action and back to the first person veiw. Simply ending the cimematic creates an abrupt beginning into the action which I would prefer to slowly unfold before the player.

  6. I'm glad to hear that so many are enjoying "Reciprocity", I appreciate the e-mails and PM's. I've been experiencing some major computer problems, losing many files and programs. I had 4 similiar missions completed and ready for release when all hell broke loose. The good news is that I should be up and running again soon and will start re-creating the lost missions soon. I'll keep the forum posted. Again, Thanks!
  7. Yes, as I thought it should be. Still doesn't matter though, I've tried all ROE settings and nothing works.. Back to the drawing board..
  8. It's just frustrating as hell though. A major part of my mission is having him remain in place and working that machine gun. I opened up the DS mission "Ghost Town" to see how the RSE scriptors themselves got it to work. I've done everything exactly the same and still, a no-go! In fact, now he'll grab hold of the machine gun, strafe from side to side, but WON'T SHOOT! I can walk directly in front of him and its as if I'm completely invisible to him...Unbelievable!!!!!

  10. My machine gunner plan works fine as long as you walk towards his position without being heard. Problem is once you fire in his location or when it appears that he can hear you, he disengages from his machine gun and attempts to fire his rifle instead... Any ideas on how to make him stay put on the machine gun no matter what is going on around him?

  12. Yes...Mission 5 (Lone Wolf), is a solo player mission only. Actually, the entire MOD was designed to be single player only, but Mission 5 was designed to end 5 seconds after startup if the number of players is more than one..
  13. Yes... Once you're in close proximityof the jeep, the objective 1 complete response will trigger. Let the soldier exit the jeep and enter the building. At that point, it would be a good idea to take cover behind one of the HUMVEES until you are given the order to "fire at will". From there, all hell will break loose and you can roam the map freely. Also, if you kill one of the bad guys before the order is given, the mission will end there as well... Just remain patient and let the initial scene play itself out. After that, it's all up to you.
  14. I have no idea why some are having problems with mission 1.. However, I'm glad Rocky that at least it's not CTDing at startup. The only thing that I can think of is as you're aware, at the start of this mission it warns you to remain in place until told to move. If you stray beyond the left and right edges of the building, the mission will end. I created it this was to keep players from roaming, once the order is given, the player receives a message saying that it is ok to move freely. Try again, and let me know what happens. My play testers and I have played over and over with no problems....The plot thickens..
  15. Glad to hear that (so far) everyone is enjoying it. Can't explain why mission 1 won't load though.. When I had it bata tested, there were no problems. You're right, mission 1 (The Negotiator) was a stand alone MOD that I created over a year ago. I made some slight changes to it in this version, perhaps you could delete the old version (don't know if that will solve the problem). Anyway, I'll continue to look into this problem, if anyone out there has any suggestions, please inform... P.S. Is the MOD at the highest priority with DS & IT both active???
  16. Does anyone know if there is a way to force kits onto the entire player platoon? The set actor kit response only allows you to change kits only for the player controlled actor. What I'm trying to do is assign a specific kit to the entire player platoon at startup (ie: SD weapons for stealth missions). Does no good for stealth missions when the player controlled actor has an SD weapon and his AI teammates are blasting away with the noisey stuff! Thanks!
  17. John Host stated, Maybe I have what you need. I've completed a 5 mission hostage rescue mission pack called "Reciprocity" that I will release NLT Monday. Each mission is true to the talents of the Special Ops soldiers. Missions are short and sweet, yet realistic and tough. I hope everyone will enjoy!
  18. I'm thinking of creating some missions where the player and his team would play as Navy SEAL's. I have the characters skinned and would like to know how to include them into the selection screen of soldiers to choose from at the start. I would like to replace the images of the soldiers in the woodland BDU (from the original GR), or the Desert BDU worn by the soldiers from the Desert Seige missions with the likenesses of the SEAL's. Thanks!
  19. What's up with the AT4 kit? When I assign it to an enemy actor, it appears as some sort of transparent rifle during game play. Any ideas? Also, I've noticed that there ase signifigantly more weapons to choose from in selecting weapons kits when you bring up the option of "all files" as opposed to what weapons are listed under "kit files", problem is when I select a weapon under "all files" and assign that weapon to an actor, he appears in gameplay with no weapon at all...Please help.
  20. I don't usually play console games but since my daughter has a PS2, I thought I'd pick up a copy of GR2 to keep me busy until March when the PC version comes out. Good thing I read this review though, looks like I'll be staying away... All fans of the PC version, keep our fingers crossed...

  22. Has anyone seen the video review of GR2 for the PS2 on gamespot.com? I sure hope they got it all wrong, if not, we may be in for a major disappointment...
