I emphatically and wholeheartedly agree -- I hope not 'the last', but it's hard to see how with Ubisoft's inane top-down micro-management of literally everything by the most clueless and inept Administration in business history -- the ghastly money burn proves it, there's nothing else like it in business history in destructive spend parity... Well maybe AI will surpass it... All big game publishers have the same problem to considerable extent, but Ubisoft takes the 3/4 trillion USD cake... It's so ludicrous you'd think it was a script for French Farce -- and the mismanagement has ruined lives, jobs, and obliterated brilliant Studios and IP that Fans have been begging for, for over a decade...   I think it's more of a situation of 'GET PUBLISHING OUT OF GAME DESGIN' -- What Ubisoft has been doing to Studios and original successful IP,  is as asinine as if Putnam had told Tom Clancy to: 'Sit down, shut-up, and stop writing! We're going to have our Executive Team who've never even written a thank you letter to their Mothers ghost write your novels from hear on out as comedies, Biblical fiction, and children's talking animal stories.' -- for over ten years, repeated enormous losses, and being panned by the press and Fans... All Ubisoft would have to do is remaster original Ghost Recon, or Wildlands -- fix a few things, and promise a new expansion -- the sales would trounce the COD and BF franchises that have similarly though to a lesser extent lost their way. Equally, profoundly staggering is that this publisher has a resource like no other in GRN that has had tens of thousands of loyal Fans, and would be again Fans pointing, showing, explaining, illustrating and demonstrating with real market data, the inevitable. Then repeated and amplified in other venues like Steam, and even Ubisoft's own forums before they were taken down due to what had have been embarrassment if not shame. That the obvious has been ignored with loving Fans going to incredible effort to exhort this tone deaf publisher on it's relentless, repeated crash course with failure it still somehow just could not see, over a dozen times and ten years -- reminds me of this... The Austin Powers vignette was fantastic, fictional comedy, Ubisoft actually did it, and much more, and much worse... I'll never forgive them! EVER! And it wouldn't even be a guess to say there are an awful lot of hard working Developers, people that lost their studios, and saw their brilliant IP marginalized that feel even more strongly...

I keep posting everywhere "you've already played the last great Ghost Recon game", by which I mean Wildlands - and Ubi will never have the money, or possibly the talent, to exceed that powerhouse of a Ghost Recon game.
