Dick Splash
The Battle For Malta was a documentary that aired recently on the BBC. Part of the British Empire during WWII, I've been to the island a few times. It's an island steeped in history and it's inhabitants are quite religious. Rocky with very little beach, it played a pivotal role strategically and geographically during the war in the Mediterranean both as a naval base, but especially as a land base for the RAF. It's very clear that it was touch and go throughout, and if the island had surrendered to the Axis forces, it might have prolonged the war. Well worth a watch; Nice YouTube Upload DS
