Yesterday I've launched GRAW as usual and I received this error message from Securom (the original message is in italian language. I try to translate as best as I can...): "The security module needed to run the program can't be activated. This program can't be executed (5016)" On Securom homepage I didn't find anything about this error message and I've already tried to: - Uninstall CD emulation software (Alchol 120%, Daemon Tool and so on...) - Uninstall Windows Security Update KB917422 - Clean Registry strings with Registry Mechanic and RegSupreme - Clean Registry from strings reffered to CD Emulation Software - Uninstall and re-install GRAW (in this case the game runs only if I don't apply patch 1.21) Note that everything runs perfectly before KB917422 update. Anyway, I solved my problem using the restore function of Windows XP. I hope this will help those who'll have the same problem. For future use, as Colin asked, my specs follow: GAME VERSION. OS Windows XP Professional (all updated) AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 4Gb RAM NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ERROR LOG IF YOU HAVE ONE. none SCREEN SHOT/SHOTS. none VIDEO/ HOST ON PUBLIC SERVER. none DETAILS PRIOR TO CRASH, DURING CRASH, AFTER CRASH. none For those who have the problem with KB917422, try my way to solve your problem.
