Combine mods by altering directory paths

just change it into the folders name. let's say there's a "m16" folder in the mod , it should look like this.

<KitPath>m16</KitPath>

What if both mods have a "rifleman" folder? What I want to do is have the first mod use the "rifleman" kits (along with the associated *.gun models, *.rsb's, kit icons, sounds and so forth) from the second mod.

The basic question is can a folder path in the gr xml files point back up a level, similar to how it can be done for a web site directory by using "../"?

Can't you just copy the kits so you have one mod with all the kits ?

What if both mods have a "rifleman" folder?

Then it will load the ones from the mod that has the highest priority in the mod list (bottom mod has highest priority).

If there are duplicate names for different weapons you can rename the file (remember kit-files refer to the weapon-file which refer to the model-file).

Best thing is to make your own tiny mod with all the kits from both 2 mods in it. You can have both 2 mods and your mod activated. As long as your mod has highest priority it will load the kits instead of other kits from other mods.
