  1. Hey - Im just about to install a few mods that caught have my eye including teh SCAR mod , blood effects and some different camo. But - before I do - any of these knack up Multi Player at all or require all others to be equally modded up? Thanks
  2. They have an adjustable slide on both sides which allows for bigger heads, but for huge huge heads (obviously bigger brains) you could easily cut them in half and tape each ear pad to your skull with duct tape.
  3. Nah Come on - surely there has to be something else to try first...Im not bothered about the campaign restart, I just wanna be able to play MP. I cant believe a complete yank and re-install is the only answer. thanks and no dis FUBARnz, but anyone got another idea?
  4. Hey yall. 1. I just installed mappack 2. My version is now 1.21. But I lost all my saved missions and have to start a new Campaign!! Itried a system restore on teh XP but no luck- anyone seen this before - I dont mind that much as Id just restarted the campaig n any way but its a pain. 2. I just got cable highspeed at last!! (they just installed it my backwood region) so after I downloaded the mappack 2 and installed - I went to join an internet server - but everyone I tried gave an error message saying "My game files didnt match the servers" - even the ubi servers?? What am I doing wrong? thanks
  5. Just wanted to share - I got the AudioFX vibration control headphones for my birthday last week and they have brought a new level of immersion into my gaming. These things are the best peripheral Ive ever got. No BS. Ok the flashing LEDS on the side are abit dodgy but aside from that - these thing really do rock your head. Imagine listening to music through a single speaker crap transistor radio all your life and then sitting down in a Cinema when they blast out that Dolby ad through the speakers - thats the night and day these things brought to me. I was playing GRAW last night, and had the vibration/bass control cranked up on the headphones - In Coup D'Etat I was sneaking around a building setting up for an attack position (at the plaza) and I was amazed to hear "All along the watchtower" playing on a muffled radio somewhere in the building - but the headphones really picked up the directionals and because of the bass / vibration control it really sounded just like a real life with the bass being more prominent from music behind walls. Absolutely brilliant. The best bit though was while I was enjoying the music and sneaking around, the enemy AI spotted us and opened up with their gun emplacement - I literally shat myself and jumped two feet out of my chair from the noise and vibrations of the incoming. My guys responded with heavy cover and some grenades, my ears were ringing and I swear I could smell the cordite. I died soon after that point from bad positioning, but with these new headphones - who cares, I re loaded and headed back into the fray, but turned the volume down abit the second time! A Highly recommended purchase - and not too expensive either.
  6. Cheers chaps for the feedback - Im into my 3rd campaign at the moment and getting better especially at conserving ammo
  7. On the Mayday Mayday mission recently - there I was,- down to my last clip, out of nades, my sidearm was no use except up close and I still had a lot of nasty to get through - then I remembered one of the hints had said that I could pickup ammo from dead AI, PHEW.. saved. Wrong. I tried everything I could to pickup extra ammo clips on the floor, I even went back to other places in the map, walked over it pressed 'e', jumped on it, shot it ... Nah , nothing would work, so my question is ..... How the hell do you get ammo off dead enemies? Or is the answer the obvious- 'they have to be carrying the same weapon as you'? Thnks
  8. Maybe a daft question..but- The new maps that are being created by the community -are there specifically that are for for SP missions with AI enemy built in? Or are they all for MP? Reason I ask - I recently finished the campaign - and Im hungry for more BUT no high speed internet available where I live yet, so no MP, so need new SP maps. Any recoomendations?
  9. Thnks - Ill jump into this next week when I get back from hols.

  11. Hi, first post - I did my due diligence and searched first, but could really find anything too specific to my problem. So I have retail GR, DS and IT. Patched up to 1.4. I also have some mods HX4 ,FLA and most recently session1. The problem Im having is when I activate any of the mods and try and start a quick mission or a new campaign. I can sometimes get all the way through briefing, then sometimes all the way through team setup, then I when I click to commit - BANG straight back to desktop, in the flash of an eye! No error message. itsjust boots me right out of GR and I have to start again. I dont have this problem when I deactivate all mods and just stick with GR1 or DS or IT. Ive tried a few variations of of only having one mod activated, but still cant shake the problem. I've been off GR for 8months or so, and last night I thought Id give her another blast when I encountered this problem, prior to last night that I never had any problems like this. I ended up removing and reinstalling all GR last night, just to be sure, but still no joy when I restarted. My system specs are p4. 2.4 GHZ windows XP Home 1GB RAM ATI 9800 Pro. I play extensively with high demand sims/ other games without problems. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
