smashedfinger
I know there is another one like this, but my situation is different. I purchased the ghost recon complete pack on steam and when I try to run it, An error pops up that says "ghostrecon.exe has stopped working." It then tries to find a solution to the problem. I have to close the program. I run windows 7 64-bit. Like I said I got it on steam. Ive tried reinstalling it in this order: GR, DS, IT. Nothing changed, what now? RileyFletcher_01
Try just installing Ghost Recon with no patches or expansions and see if it starts.
smashedfinger
uninstalled everything and then installed only ghost recon, same result
ApexMods
Make sure your system supports switching to 640x480 screen resolution. If it doesn't, edit the OPTIONS.XML file (located in the GR game folder) to have the game run in window mode by setting the <FullScreen> tag to FALSE. RileyFletcher_01
The options.xml is in the same folder as the Ike log, Ghost Recon\. Unless it doesn't exist yet because the game hasn't started, in which case we can send you one.

programsify
sorry for being a noob. i have the same problem as smashed finger but i don't know what to do with the options.xml file. help please?
Dannik
Place the downloaded Options.xml file in the root Ghost Recon folder (where GhostRecon.exe is, the Mods folder, etc.) If you have loaded the game to the main menu before, you will overwrite this file, and if you have not, it will be a new file.
