  1. GHOST RECON PC SCREENS HIT THE BATTLEFIELD

Advanced Warfighter looks mighty fine on 360, but how's the PC version shaping up?

10:12 Advanced Warfighter has been a miraculous success for Ubisoft, breaking the company's all-time record for its fastest selling game in an opening week. All this sales hoopla, and the PC - the original home for the franchise - is yet to get a whiff of the combat-drenched shooter.

PC gamers will be pleased to know that Advanced Warfighter on their platform of choice isn't too far away though - it's due May - and judging by this latest batch of screenshots it's looking just as good as, if not better, than the praised Xbox 360 version.

Advanced Warfighter PC is being worked on by an entirely separate team to the game's many console flavours, so it should turn out to be a lot more tailored to the old personal computer than recent Tom Clancy console ports.

For example, Body Awareness is one feature unique to the PC version, which enables you to see every part of your body in a first-person view.

Be prepared for more in the coming Days.

    Nice Game :clapping:

Yeah, Bo and his team work will pay off by us being happy bunnies. It's a nice job, creating a game, creative side and earning a more than good living from it, business side, we envy you, Bo.

    Cheers

  2. Bo, how would your wife like you calling her a guy? The ladies we have around here are drooling and asking you questions too. I am suprised Miss Loki didn't knock you around with her purse (or what ever it is she carries).  Do we need to do a photo chop contest of you in a dress?

I said this in another thread already, but the night shot with the helo is an older build while the others are from an earlier build (you can tell by the HUD and the compass, different brightnesses.

Just hoping for female character skins in multiplayer... :please:

I hear you, girl! There is a female carachter in GRAW for xbox 360, there should also be one in the pc version. But, it's in campaign mode. Don't o much ladies who like to shoot, but I encourage it! You go, girl!

    Cheers

  3. Bo is reading this thread... prepare for insight :D

There won't be any surprises for Bo here, he was the one showing them the game

I think you are mistaken Rocky. As far as I understood, the game is shown off by UBI SOFT NORDIC marketing manager Harald Horsberg. And not by Bo.

Woops, that was a misunderstanding due to language, it wasn't Dark who was meeting Bo...

When does Colin's report arrive?:whistle::whistle:

  4. Just wondering about it. It's probably gotta do with UBI's fiscal year and the financial figures. But, wouldn't a release in the winter be the smart thing to do. As it's cold outside and people tend to stay inside and play games. Just wondering, am I the only one who thinks that a winter release is better in terms of drawing a big following. I was addicted at BF2 for awhile, it was fresh and had good mp. But over at the fan forums, over 25000 members they are all hyping the quake wars as the next best online game. Not one of them is aware of this gem called GRAW. I surely hope it recieves a warm and big following. Sigh, still two months to wait.

    Cheers

Think before you type man. Don't give them any ideas.

    Letter to UBI:

To whom it may concern at UBI,

Our friend M95-Sniper is just suffering from a temporary state of delirium. Due to the lack of GR:AW PC news, PC videos, and PC Demo. To top it off he has been playing with his XBox for too long (no thanks to 360 GR:AW). Please don't take his statement seriously. He is a good chap who just wants some good sniper rifles for his PC GR:AW.

    Thank you,

    silent_op

(and all other concerned GR PC community members)

    P.S:

We really don't want to have to hunt him down next Christmas season.

  5. Good luck with DX10 as well.  I'm sure there will be a ton of DX10 games released within the first 6 months.

Seriously guys, just sit back and wait patiently for things to start rolling.  I can't wait to play GR3 like the rest of you but this incessant begging & demanding is getting really annoying.  I am SURE Bo is doing everything he can to advertise HIS game.

Don't read it, if it is annoying you. And we aren't begging, just asking for

    Cheers

  6. Please ask the people who can give the green light to make say a 30 minute preview at the best possible settings revealing the neat stuff and for us us to just gasp for air. We need it badly. This could mean the difference if I continue playing on the pc this year or not, with vista and directx 10 comming soon.

    Cheers

Vista won't be out till next January 07...

Nah, the pro version will be out october/november, that's what all we pc freaks use anyway. We don't want some cut off family version.

    Cheers

  7. Looks good!

Bo, I thought the 7900GTX and X1900XTX would be the last directx 9 cards?

Are you telling me they gonna expand the memory structures on these cards?

And is HDR being used in combination with AA. Because Nvidia cards can't do AA and HDR simultanousley (help, my Englsih spelling going overboard, lol).

So, that leaves ATI as the only wise choice if we want max settings at the best framerates. And Nvidia if we want the highest fps?

E3 has some announcements? Why wasn't there any talk about newer cards on the Cebit?

    Cheers

  8. Gamspot:Agiea

Just got this update from gamespot.

Better wait till the GRAW reviews are out about the experience with and without the hardware. Strange to launch it now. When none of the games are available, yet. People will expect the price to drop, and who will buy something they can't really use except for some low budget shooter like bet on soldiers.

    Cheers

  10. I suspect any video footage has already been done.

And is waiting for the PC version PR to start.

Both of which will not be long now.

I would imagine that the Team at Grin are waiting just like us.

They will also not know, as us when this will happen.

Colin, why don't we all hook up and visit GRIN? If Bo gets approval for it? A weekend to look at GRAW and report back to the fans. We all have different needs from the same game. So, not just one person should visit, but more. Aren't you a mod at the official forums also? Or is Cobblers?

    Cheers

  11. 30 minutes? lol,

I really think the people who are 'at hand' already know we are craving for some footage. It's said a million times by now. please be patient, it will come when it comes ;)

30 minutes of footage, lol

(not laughing at you Sniper, just the thought of downloading 30 minutes of footage, well if you don't ask you always have a no, right ;))

Yeah, maybe I should have stated an in-depth gameplay preview. Bo, told us he isn't in charge in this particular department, as he simply develops the game. And the UBI people publish and sell it.

Maybe Bo, can send some of those nice Blond Swedish girls with short skirts and Pigtails to the guys over at UBI.

And some Viking studs for the birds at UBI's marketing department.

Some nice, HD footage with actual some depth as to the tactical elements, some cool next gen graphics and effects, will keep us happy.

www.1up.com does a good job at previewing games. The guys at EGM magazine.

Hell, I would be happy to travel to Sweden en sit down with the lads for a day or two to bring all the gems of GRAW on pc. This could be the return of my pc gaming days. I'm abit excited. I want depth, looks like GRAW has it, so please, show us.

    Cheers

  12. Well, I am on xside so i could sound biased, but i didnt like ppu scene, those debris flying through air look non real. Also there is big visual distinction between ppu and non-ppu scene in damage done. Lastly, i think x360 version holds very well against what we saw.

A real topend pc rig will probably outdue the xbox 360 version, but it will cost you alot. Either 2 x 7900gtx or two x1900xtx's, 1 x physics card, 1 x 2gb of mem, 1 x XFi-soundblaster Music and at least a 1 x fx-55 as cpu. Will be around the 2250$ mark just to play at better version than the xbox 360 settings in graphical terms. The xbox 360 can be bought for 299$. Do the math.

Overall, I do think the pc version will be closer to the orginal and will have more depth. But to enjoy it all, better upgrade the pc.

Even as a hardcore pc gamer I do recommend the xbox 360, best piece of hardware I bought since the old PS 1. Great games already and xbox live rocks. Gfx wise it is truely next gen, especially on a hdtv.

    Cheers

  13. Thanks M95, I will keep that in mind.

I could just get both, but I personally just don't think gaming is worth putting that much money into. Just my opinion, based on how much time I put into it. I may just go for the 360, but I'll decide on that later.

    Anyway, thanks for the input.

Get the premium pack and a nice HDTV instead. You'll be blown away with it, still playing on my monitor and am already blown away with it. On a HDTV the gfx look like when you were young and awe in the arcades, thinking, I wish I could play with those gfx at home. It is the same feeling you get after seeing it on a 32 inch or bigger HDTV, it's just insane. No hassle with mp. Get the xbox 360 if you are an occasional gamer.

    Cheers

  14. Hi guys,

I'm a relatively new gamer, have a 360 and Ghost Recon for about a week. Single game player.

I can't get beyond the helicopter ride with the shooters on the roof. I've done it a  :( hundred times and I'm always shot before the thing lands. Sometimes I get close to the ground, sometimes i'm quickly shot from the roof people.

I've mastered Call of Duty 2 (and its previous versions) but i'm really doing poorly on this game.

    Help!

Hey, mate google cheats for graw+xbox+360 , there is one cheat which allows temporary invisibility for a small time during the game, sounds like you need it. The helicopter ride on hard is insane, took me about 15 tries before I got through, all of a sudden, they all seem marksman, hard settings is just what it says hard!

    Cheers

  15. I'm wondering how many here who play GRAW360 have up until now been PC gamers and have chanced to be a PC 'and' console gamer????

And did you buy the Xbox360 as your first console.

Also did  you buy it mainly for GRAW.

Or did you also have an Xbox and GR2

Anyway i just want to know about mainly how many people have crossed over due to the Xbox360.

As you know, I did, I like the xbox 360 alot, better than my overclocked AMD 64 3500+, Gforce 7800GT, 2Gb of ram. And it plays on a tv. Still need to buy a HDTV, but even on my monitor the gfx is insane. And the games out there quite good. I bought it for GRAW only. But probably will keep it. GRAW is in itself a great game. But, feels even abit rushed, alot of replayability value missing in my opinion. No unlocks and to be quite frank about it, limited choices in which weaponry to use in campaign mode. So, that kills the experience abit. Because for me, the campaign mode is just as important as the mp mode. Mp mode is great, except it feels abit like a beefed up CS. Worthy purchase, and you can even sell it with abit of loss after you bought and buy the best gfx card. By then they will have dropped in price.

Moneywise, it's better than any highend pc I ever bought, and xbox live is just unbelievable good.

    Cheers
