  1. If you guys get a chance download the HD versions of the videos. Man...it looks like a nice fat jump in the graphics department. Maps look very interesting and it appears that the game is running smooth as well. Still nothing on LIVE interface as far as searching for games and whatnot.....
  2. Thare are new screens and videos... Screens Videos
  3. LINK A few quotes.... "When Ubisoft showed off Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter earlier this month, we weren't allowed to talk about the multiplayer section of the game at that time. Now we can, and Ubisoft and its Red Storm studio (which is developing the multiplayer section) have clearly thought about what players liked about the original GRAW's multiplayer, because they have built upon it considerably." "The good news is that the changes in GRAW2 don't represent a radical departure from the original game, but they do represent some welcome improvements. Graphically, the multiplayer should look a lot sharper thanks to the introduction of dynamic lighting, dynamic shadowing, distance blurring, and more." "The first map that we played was Aftermath, which is set in a South American village after a natural disaster rips through it. There's knee-deep standing water pretty much everywhere, along with gutted buildings and debris in the streets." "Next up on our tour of GRAW2's multiplayer maps was Crash Site, which is a cool level thanks to the fact that it's got the burning hulk of a downed US transport plane in the middle of it. This is a fairly large outdoor level, but the plane wreckage provides a handy reference point. You can even enter portions of the fuselage and use it to ambush passing enemies." "We should also mention that one of the nifty features of GRAW2's multiplayer is the fact that you can play certain maps at different points of the day. We played Crash Site during the evening and at night, and the latter required us to use night vision to see any decent distance. " "The final level that we had a chance to check out was Back Alley, an urban map full of alleyways and plazas to fight in. We played team territory on this map, and it was brutal, thanks to the claustrophobic nature of part of the map, along with the fact that it can get pretty dark in some of those alleyways. There are plenty of balconies and elevated positions to get a good vantage from, though you're just as likely to be picked off from a hidden marksman. " "addition to the new modes and maps, GRAW2 multiplayer has a lot of new everything. The addition of 27 new weapons boosts the overall total to 62, and there are plenty of new weapon types for each of the four multiplayer class types. Throw in new customization options such as new helmets and accessories, as well as a new female player model for multiplayer, and you have a lot more freedom to tailor your appearance in GRAW2."
  4. I'm still curious if the interface for searching for games and whatnot has been improved as well. Finding a game that's still in the lobby should not be as difficult as it is. I have seen others post saying the same thing on other boards as well. It's not fun when it's that much trouble....
  5. I sure would like to see some MP screens or videos. Just to get a glance of the maps if nothing else.
  6. Thanks. I probably will not download it though.....but if there were a mp demo.....
  7. yeah, i got a bad feeling that the mp grfx won't match the sp grfx seeing how rv6 vegas was done so recently. to me the vegas mp grfx were pathetic. i was really dissapointed. but to me the original graw mp grfx weren't that bad, especially in hi def. my feeling on all this is that from all the pics and vids i've seen here currently of graw 2. it looks like graw with a few minor enhancements. which is fine by me. another reason for me to believe this is the time factor. graw 2 is coming out a year after graw. that's kind of close if you ask me. if it was coming out 1 1/2 to 2 years, then you would be right to expect a major overhaul. again that's my take. proof will obviously in the puddin. While I do agree that R6:V's MP graphics are anything but impressive it's a dang good game. Just the fact that you can get into a game w/o having to wait or go back and forth searching for a game that's in the lobby vs a game that still has 15 minutes before you can join is a huge+ to me. With a family and 10 month old baby it's hard to find time to play these days. If only GRAW had the layout for finding MP games..... This is one thing I hope is improved in GRAW 2.....if nothing else changes I would b fine with it as it is.
  8. Agree...the pics and video clips look like more of the same but better...if you know what I mean....lol We have seen nothing yet or heard nothing yet of the MP side of the game........we sit and wait. I just want some good maps....I'm so dang sick of "nowhere".
  9. Yeah all issues aside I would be happy with a "nothing new but maps" version of the game as long as I could keep a connection and not get dropped. I like GRAW the way it is even if there are things I would like to change, it's still a good game and imo the best online 360 game atm.
  10. 1st vs 3rd is just personal preference. The issue I have with it is that it's not easy to find 1st person only games. My other issue with it is that I don't like the idea of someone (the opponent) being able to take cover and scan the map at the same time with no consequences....regardless if I'm a better player or not. That's just me and my personal opinion though and like I said I have accepted GRAW for what it is now even if I don't like the 3rd person option. I couldn't agree more about the map size and the combat engagement too soon btw.
  11. I agree with your points other than the 3rd person view. I tolerate it but I'm no fan of it.
  12. I agree. Again if it were up to me I would have the game in 1st person with a gun view (no 3rd at all). This would stop the whole rotating screen thing while covered. I'm not hardcore stuck on the cover option thing but at this point what difference would it make considering you can "cheat" (or whatever you want to call it) as it is? The game really isn't old school GR anymore anyway.... And I agree about the SP....amazing to look at but way too arcade. Don't get me wrong I like GRAW 360 but it's far from the original GR games and I don't see them ever going back. So basically I just accept GRAW for what it is and hope that something more....."realistic" comes out down the road.
  13. As it is now you can crouch behind something and look all around in 3rd person view seeing everything without being exposed at all. The old GR days are gone....it's not the same game. It's still a good game but it's very different then the good old days of the original. I was very against the 3rd person at all....and I still am. In fact I really still have issues with it but it's not going away and if people are going to be able to do things like crouch behind something and rotate the camera all around why not implement a cover system that's a little more realistic? Why couldn't you make a cover system that when you take cover the camera is in a fixed view and you are somewhat exposed or something.....I don't know. I don't know what the best approach would be but I do know that adding a cover system wouldn't water the game down anymore than it already has been. So coming in here with your elitist attitude because you're so old school and hardcore and crying about how watered down the game is isn't going to do any good. Most of us tried this approach long time ago and you see where it got us. BTW I played the original on PC when it first came out as well as IT and yeah I would love to have that old game back. At this point though...well it's just never going to happen.
  14. Thanks...though I don't know that my question will be one of the ones forwarded.
  15. Yeah be glad...all I want is to play the game. Lots of people are having problems like this. Do you use a wireless router? I have heard for whatever reason GRAW has issues with wireless router.....sounds strange to me but I don't know enough about networking to say. I do know my signal to my 360 is very strong because I have tested it. I play R6:V, GoW, COD, etc. with no problems at all. It's very frustrating to no be able to get into a game when you like a game as much as I do GRAW. How od you refresh your cache? I'm hard wired through a router. I want the best connection i can get and don't believe in Wireless. As for refreshing/clearing cache there is two ways of doing it. 1. When you first start a game and it's in the black screen (After the x360 start up logo) hold the A botton down until after the games logo screen has gone and pasted or wait until it says hit start to play game! More or less let it run through all the start up logo's it goes through as you holding down the A botton! 2. Go to the System Blade, and then select memory. Go to Options (Y) on either the HD or MU. Then quickly press X-X-LB-RB-X-X. Answer Yes to the confirmation screen, and there you go. Sometimes game updates will have to be re-downloaded, but it's a all refreshed. It will not delete no game saves or anything you Down loaded just sometimes it may ask you to update the game again. The most simple way of doing it is step 1 and can be done everytime you play with no trouble (though it's not needed to do it everytime just when you see the x360 acting up). If you feel your x360 getting slow/freezing, try step 1 next time you restart your game. Everything should speed up and run much smother than it was before. Thanks...I'll try it.
  16. Mine is Cable.....I've tested my connection through the pc as well as the 360 and I get a fairly strong signal. Not sure why it hates GRAW so much. And the funny thing is that when I do get in a game I have no lag at all......then it just drops.

  18. Yeah what I really like is when you wait for 5 minutes then as soon as the game starts you get "connection failed".
  19. All good questions Wingshot. Does Serellan still come to these boards? I have been gone for some time....new baby and very busy at work.
  20. Connection problems! As it is now I get "CONNECTION FAILED" in GRAW all the time and it sometimes completely keeps me from playing. I know it's not on my side either....I have a good connection and speed and never have any problems in any other games. I can honestly say that I don't know if I would buy GRAW 2 if there were the same online issues as GRAW. Online is my main focus....if I can't play online then I really don't have much reason to buy it. Serellan...you guys doing anything different this time? EDIT: Also will we be able to see games that are in lobby vs games that are in play? And can we go back to the games we already searched for if we decide not to join vs having to search all over again?
  21. This is getting ridiculous. I can't stay in a game these days for more than 2 minutes...then I get to do a search all over again so I can just get to see "CONNECTION FAILED" again. I know it's not on my end...I have a damn good connection speed and never have any problems on any other game. Any tricks to staying in a game?
  22. Same graphics engine and all or did they really start all over?
