Ghost Recon Wildlands Photo Mode was introduced with Special Operation 3, the third major update of Year 2 content on December 11 2018, on all platforms. Although Nivdia Ansel is still active in Wildlands, the new Photo Mode offers quicker capture, more effects, and a simplier process without the HUD being captured.

Here’s how to activate Wildlands Photo mode on all platforms.

Wildlands Photo Mode hot keys can be edited in the options menu, so if double clicking on those thumbsticks is having unintended consequences, pop into Options and remap the Photo combo.

How to use Wildlands Photo Mode

Once you have activated Photo Mode using the hot keys shown above, take your photo by pressing F12 on PC, Share on PS4 and the Xbox button on XBox One. Although the game HUD is automatically removed from the photo, you must remember to hide the Photo Mode overlay before taking your snapshot. Press Tab on PC, RS on XBox One and R3 on PS4.

There are some really clever features built into photo mode to help Ghosts capture some well composed shots. For example, there is a rule of thirds helper to help balance your photo masterpiece for best effect. Rule of thirds means never placing the main subject of the photo right bang in the middle, off centre always looks best!  Look at photos #2 and #3 below for good examples of this technique. Try this handy feature out by clicking capslock (LS on Xbox) / L3 on PS4)

Where are the Photo Mode screenshots saved? On PC just click on the default Pictures storage location and navigate to the uPlay folder. Console gamers will find their screenshots in the systems Gallery.
