Rules:
Mission Mod Rules :
- The submitted mod must run on Ghost Recon
v1.2.10.0 unmodified M03 Stone Bell map. No other
modifications to weapons, kits, or skins should be included
- this is strictly a mission (new scripted scenario) mod
competition. Additional sounds may be allowed to enhance
the atmosphere.
- Each mission shall be packaged as a self-contained
mod utilizing only the Ghost Recon 'mods' folder. No original
Ghost Recon files should be overwritten. Mods may either
be in .zip format, or packaged in an executable installer.
- Each mission shall Contain a proper 'ModConts.txt'
file. Example:

MULTIPLAYER "Server-Client"
- Multiple entires are not allowed, send
us your best mission only!
- Mission briefing to be included
- Missions must be played through the Quick
Mission menu.
- All entries should include a ReadMe
with contact and install information.
General Competition Rules
- Participants
expressly agree to be bound and abide by the Rules and Regulations
on this page, and the Evaluation
Criteria. Participants that, in the sole and final opinion
of the Contest Coordinator, do not comply with the Official
Rules and Regulations may be excluded from the Contest without
notification.
- The Contest is scheduled to run from
13th May, 2002 and close on the 10th of June, 2002. Judging
will be from 10th of June, 2002 until 17th June, 2002. Winners
will be announced shortly after 17th June 2002.
- No purchase is necessary to participate
in the Contest.
- GhostRecon.net staff are excluded from
participating.
- All participants must register.
- The Contest provider reserves the right
to cancel the Contest with valid justification. He also
reserves the right to amend the rules as required (excluding
changes that may affect submissions) and the right to reject
submissions that don't adhere to any of the rules are guidelines.
- While individual effort is encouraged,
it isn't required. Additional assistance and team members
can be used, but only one person and one prize will be recognized
and awarded.
- Submissions must not, in the sole discretion
of the Coordinator, be considered obscene, libelous or slanderous.
All inappropriate submissions will be disqualified.
- No copyright violations. All material
used in the mission must be original material, free content
or otherwise have no copyright protection. Strict adherence
to this rule will be enforced and any violation will result
in disqualification.
- All participants recognize the winning
submission may/will be publicized on various websites, distributed
(freely) via different media, and this may result in widespread
publicity. The submission remains the property of the mission
author and all credit will be given to the appropriate person.
Ultimately, www.ghostrecon.net maintains the right to publish
any information it deems worthy concerning all the submissions.
- Participants may be requested to submit
screen shots and updates to the Coordinator to track the
progress and to report the status to the Ghost Recon community.
- Just to reemphasize, no one at www.ghostrecon.net
including but not limited to the owner, staff or web hosting
service provider is responsible for any complaints or dissatisfaction
concerning the rules and administration of this Contest.
An individual is hosting this Contest with no binding legal
affiliation to www.ghostrecon.net or to the official site
or company. It is purely free and voluntary and is designed
for fun and to support the games we all enjoy.
- Participants shall indemnify, defend
and hold harmless the Coordinator, sponsors, and donors
of prizes for the competition, and all of their respective
parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, partners, successors
and assigns, and all their respective directors, officers,
stockholders and employees from and against any and all
claims, suits, proceedings, damages, costs, liabilities
and expenses arising from or related to the Entrant's participation
in the Contest.
- Competition is void where prohibited
or restricted by law.
