Mission Construction Evaluation Criteria:

A culmination of the following characteristics will be evaluated and compared to determine the overall score of the mission. While there will be certain requirements that each participant should adhere to, the mission author is free to include any additional features that may give their submission an edge over the competition. Consideration should be given to each category because they are each unique yet equally important for the success of the Mission. For further guidance, or for any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Contest Coordinator.

Mission Evaluation Categories

Originality
Each Mission will be evaluated by its uniqueness and originality. Missions that are similar to pre-existing ones (i.e. official Missions, other modder's Missions) will typically not score well. This is one area a Mission Author can really set their submission apart from the rest of the competition. Refreshing new Missions that are innovative and creative will have an edge over all its competitors.

Playability
Each Mission will be evaluated by its playability. This will be determined by such factors as installation and gameplay. Installation should be a breeze with an auto-installer (or similar method). As far as gameplay is concerned, Missions shouldn't be so overwhelming, difficult and cluttered that people don't want to play it. Beta Testing is highly recommended, however, if it's a public beta, other participants may see what your Mission has to offer. Any Mission that doesn't operate (with a reasonable amount of troubleshooting) may be discarded and disqualified. Playability will be judged on PCs at or above Ghost Recon's Recommended Specs. Missions will be tested for offline play only.

Design
Each Mission will be evaluated by its overall design. Similar to the originality category, this section will also be vital in selecting the winners. Missions that introduce new ideas, reinvent old ideas, and tap into the power of the game engines scripting capabilities will be contenders for the top spot. The attention to detail and creative features are paramount for the Mission's success.

Overall
Each Mission will be evaluated for its overall characteristics. This category is primarily included because some Missions may not score high in one area but may excel in all other areas and be a potential winner. This category will ensure those submissions are still given a fair chance at winning. For example, say a Mission scores near perfect in all areas except for originality...and is a lot of fun to play...the evaluator can use this category to address those issues and the Mission can still score relatively high. On the other hand, say a Mission has near perfect scores in everything, but playability is horrible...then this section can be used to address those concerns too...basically used to separate the good submissions from the bad submissions.
