Description: This is a Cornholio Sequel.



This map is the first I made with the adaptive AI levels. The "brains" behind that is a simple check at the start of the map how many ghosts are in the spawn area.



if there are less than 3, the "minimal" map runs, which is easy spawns, absolutely no heavy weapons, and low chance for armored vehicles.



If there are 3-6 players the heavy weapons are active, but at the lowest chance



7-10 players on the map moves the chance for heavy weapons to medium, for APCs to medium, and it adds more AI spawn, increasing AI count by about 50% over the below 7 player spawns



11+ players at spawn will set the APCs to their highest chance, heavy weapons to higher percentage and it adds another 50% of original spawn to the AI count (e.g. if a 4 players spawn is 8, this now has 8+4+4 AI in the zone, as the spawn of the 7-10 player count is not replaced).



Each of these spawns is fully random, with 5 possible outcomes each. There are 8 major trigger areas for AI, so there are 24 zones and each has 5 versions, each independent of the other. Basically, you will never know where they will be...



Vehicles are completely random, too - each has 4 different destinations and trigger delays are different for each of them. There are 96 different scenarios for Panhards to show up somewhere, but even at max difficulty, I don't think you'll see more than 5 of them on average.



I ran the map solo and finished it with 43 kills and 4 deaths - second time around it was much harder and I had 23 kills before even getting out of the general spawn viciinity.



On average, I think

<7 player games will see about 50-60 AI

7-10 player games will see 75-90 AI

11+ player gams will see 100-140 AI



but only testing will show. In order to test lower AI spawns, we can arrange to have only a fwe of us start the game and then hold at spawn to let the rest join before moving out. The count check for map difficulty happens right at the spawn and you don't trigger any AI until you move north for a few feet from that location. Enough time to get the rest of the team in and see how the thing works on "easy mode"



Overall, though, I have a hunch this will be a pretty hard map even with a larger team: setting the triggers so that everything spawned like in an 11+ player game, I got my ass kicked pretty badly. Not impossible, but also not going to be something we may finish firs time out





Here's what it looks like - TDM03 map, with minimal changes - nothing got blocked off. Most of my changes are right at the spawn where I added cars for cover and a fence to keep people from running out and getting shot by some of the closer AI spawns, plus it added the delay I needed for some of the scripts to check and disable/enable the appropriate zones after game start.

If this is a GRAW 2 map, then why is it in the GRAW 1 section ?........DOH !!!

It is GRAW 1 mission.

 

I tested it and it is quite a good mission.

Not a crazy one with 500 opfor, but a realist and immersive mission: you and your squad progress through a hostile territory to the LZ... Very well done, well balanced, immersive...
